Harbord house located at 150 Harbord Street was quite a lovely and lively treat. It started with wanting to go somewhere different for dinner. Upon arrival at the doors of Harbord House, we notice a small outdoor booth set up where a young man asked us if we had tickets for the show. Obviously we did not nor did we... More

So the salads were quite large, some of the brunch choices were also delicious - poached eggs on corn bread very delicious right amount of spice. Stay away from the poutine - a ridiculous cost $10 for a few potatoes and not much taste. Overall very good. Service was good - although had to ask for things.

It was an overall great experience! The food was delicious. The salad had the perfect dressing, the meat was tender, juicy and flavourful. Fries were absolutely fresh...! Since we opened the door we were friendly welcomed and acknowledged. They offered us a table right away. There were many people enjoying their food and relaxed ambiance. The decoration is relaxing and... More

This place is filled with locals from the neighbourhood which gives it a nice atmosphere. The food is fine but not exceptional. The salmon tacos were tasty bit not original. The beer selection is very good.

We watched the NFL playoff game upstairs at the Harbord House - the bottom floor is oriented toward food service while the top floor is for great craft beer, talking, and meeting fiends. We watched the afternoon game, chatted with the people, had a snack with an awesome variety of craft beers to sample. This is a place to enjoy... More

This restaurant is a great place to have a beer. They admit that only popular cocktails can be made but nothing exotic. The bar has an old London pub feel and has some great beers to drink. I would think twice before eating the food. The prices are reasonable and great place for friends to meet.

Had a very nice dinner at our first time visit at the Harbour House. Great selection of Ontario craft draft beer. Woody, Canadiana decor and atmosphere. Friendly smiley staff. Well presented and tasty fare. Reasonably priced. Will return for sure!

Harbord House is a classic neighbourhood restaurant/watering hole. Here you'll find regulars that know each other and are always welcomed by the owner. I dropped by with a friend for an after dinner drink and wasn't disappointed. They have a great selection of beers on tap including many from local craft breweries. While we didn't order any food the menu... More

We trusted reviews on Trip Advisor when choosing our lunch destination today and we were not disappointed!! We shared the buffalo shrimp appetizer which was delicious, (we saw another table order the buffalo sauce on the side and I would recommend doing this so the shrimp stay crispy!). I had the jerk chicken mango salad and it was amazing. The... More

Very poor quality food. The worst burger in my memory. The salad had slices of avocado that were half rotten. When my wife complained the server said that the recent delivery were all like that. Very regretable.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
