Two friends and I had come into the neighbourhood for another restaurant, which happened to be closed for lunch. Looking across the street we saw Village Trattoria and decided to eat there. My one friend is in a wheelchair and she was easily able to get into the restaurant. **Note that the washrooms are down a narrow stairwell and aren't... More

This is my go to place for really good Mediterranean food, but this past Saturday May 13, 2017 was a shocker. I ordered their special, Filet Mignon with 2 Tiger Shrimps and steam vegetables (see attach photo). It looked great but it was bland and the shocker was that the Filet Mignon was strung together by a piece of twine... More

Its not often you stumble on a little neighbourhood place out in the eastern borders of Toronto that merges great service with excellent food. But i did! First the food. Really, its excellent. The fried calamari is melt in your mouth tender and as good as any "top" Italian restaurant charging twice the price. The veal scallopini is outstanding -... More

Great little neighbourhood place. We have had dinner here countless times. The grilled calamari with cloves of roasted garlic, cherry tomatoes, capers...it is delicious! They serve a wide variety of entrees and they offer gluten free pasta. My husband orders the veal chop whenever it's the special of the day.

We have been to this little neighbourhood place many times as this us our go-to where we can count on a great meal and terrific service . We enjoyed the roasted garlic and warm goat cheese salad and the mixed green salad . Both were tasty , well dressed and accompanied by a bowl of delicious garlic bread . Then... More

I have been here many times and never disappointed. The SeaBass is amazing, melts in your mouth and it comes with a huge grilled shrimp and vegetables or your choice pasta. The gnocchi in rose sauce is also melt in your mouth delish! I have been told that the chef has been there for 9 years and just fabulous food... More

Picked the place for a reunion dinner for a group of old friends. Waiter/owner brought the wrong bottle of wine. When we pointed out that this was not what we wanted, he corrected us and said "this is better..." When he brought our main course, my girlfriend pointed out that this was not what she ordered, and again, the owner... More

This is a lovely restaurant in Etobicoke that serves great food. It's like being in a small village in Italy. Great wines and delicious food.

We visited this restaurant twice during a one-week trip to Toronto. The first was on a Thursday night, the second on a Monday. The food was definitely better on the Thursday and I don't know whether this is because they use a different chef on different days or whether there is another factor involved. I'd rate the food on the... More
