We have been going to Aoyama since it opened. We always order the Omakase Aoyama dinner. The food was so good that it offset the lack of ambience. However, our most recent dinner there, on May 10, made us now feel that even the good food no longer warrants suffering through the poor rushed service. All the 6 courses were... More

Went here on a weekday evening with family. We were a group of three. The place is quite small with limited seating that fills up. I highly recommend making a reservation before you go. We were lucky we did because I'm pretty certain if just showed up we would have been turned away (which I saw and also had read... More

My favorite authentic Japanese restaurant! Have been going there for years and have never been disappointed! Best authentic Japanese Omakase served in true traditional Japanese order when serving special guests in Japan. Serves absolutely outstanding first class sashimi and sushi, excellent quality and fresh, great variety and presentation! This place is reservations only and is a small casual dining room... More

Small restaurant - you will need reservations. Full menu with lots of different seafood and styles. Chef's omakase menu will introduce you to many of the dishes. Often there are specialties depending on the availability of the fish.

Went with a friend's recommendation.. The place looks humble from outside, and small inside.. But the sashimi piece was so fresh it's unforgettable, its freshness beats Ki on the Bay and Fune on Adelaide. We order their special set which turned out to be the best Japanese dish I've ever had in Toronto, and with the closest flavor you can... More

My first visit to Aoyama did not disappoint me. They serve first class Sushi. Went to Aoyama to have Sushi only although they serve many popular Japanese dishes and set course dinner. Sushi is very fresh and perfectly prepared. Mr. Endo, Owner/Chef is a skilled craft man who pride himself of preparing authentic Japanese dishes. He makes us fee like... More

We called around 6.30 pm for 8.00 pm reservation and we were able to reserve it. It is a very small restaurant with limited seats. Food is very good and service is great.

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
