We visited this place based on good reviews but were sorely disappointed with the experience. The place seemed understaffed and the waitress forgot half of the items we ordered. The starters arrived half an hour after the sushi. We were provided with cutlery only after several requests to multiple servers. We were billed for the soup which we did order... More

We were there close to 2pm and customers were still coming in and out for a quick lunch. Services were slow at time but once the food arrived, we were pleased. Flavour and freshness were spot on and the pricing was very competitive. You wouldn't appreciate the comfort inside this restaurant by walking pass and glimpsing through the front window... More

The sushi here is decent, and the food quantity is great. The staff is not so attentive sometimes. This place is a value for money if you like sushi and want to try a few different types of sushi.

I'm from out of town but my friends in the city love it here so we go here every time I'm back. Service can get shoddy sometimes but the food is good and the prices are awesome. No complaints except maybe getting my water faster. Thanks!

Very much enjoy eating at Big Sushi - the lunch specials are very affordable and the food is both fast and fresh. I usually get the bento box with gyoza, rolls, and teriyaki chicken and always really enjoy it.

Big Sushi doesn't have the most modern interior however the prices are cheap and the service is very good, The feature a number of maki rolls and your basic Japanese bento boxes, sushi and sashimi, noodles and soups. The Rainbow Rolls was good but assembled very loosely. The Spicy Salmon Rolls seem to not have much salmon in them and... More

We were told the sushi in Toronto is not very good and it is expensive. We were pleasantly surprised to find Big Sushi to reasonable prices and quite good. The healthy portions meant left overs; we enjoyed the Chicken Teriyaki Lunch, the cucumber roll, and the Bento Box. With the soup and drink coming to $24. Small seating are in... More

We have been to this location so many times it's impossible to count. Their sushi is very fresh and like it's name very big. We also enjoy their bento boxes from time to time. If you're looking for a sushi experience in the annex, this is a can't miss place. Enjoy. Cheers

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
