This was my girlfriend’s choice to meet and what a good choice it was! The Bean Fiend is a happening little coffee shop located in downtown Port Arthur (Thunder Bay North) on Algoma Street. This area has certainly been revitalized with a large number of new local shops. My girlfriend and I met for a coffee and a pastry. When... More

Hard to find Vegan food at Thunder Bay Restaurants, and particularly on a Sunday, but the Bean Fiend stepped up with a really nice Chili. Served up with some City Rye Bread, it wasn't for the faint of heart (spicy wise), but I just loved it. Can't say the same for the almost tasteless Dark Roast coffee though. I expected... More

This cafe is so neat - great decor and vibes. The coffee and paninis are also awesome. Last time we were there they gave us a free bakery bar and it was also delicious. Only complaint is that it's not open past 5pm and in a city predominantly driven by students you would think the coffee shops would stay open.

Lovely barista made coffee. Also has a decent selection of teas. Small but cosy place good for anything from a casual date to having a business meeting. Quite popular with students as a study spot, especially with the snacks and appetisers, and free wifi on offer. They support the local community through a billboard of advertisements, paintings, and use of... More

I was there a few days ago and ordered the grilled cheese. The flavor was awesome and I really enjoyed my meal- great atmosphere and great food!

This was a cozy coffee shop with excellent coffee and very friendly staff who were eager to provide recommendations on things to see and do as soon as they learned we were from out of town. Free wi-fi and a nice outdoor patio, too! There was fantastic selection and variety of coffee drinks. I would highly recommend the chai tea... More

We headed off the TransCanada to find a healthy lunch - and ended up taking "food to go" as it was the best we'd found in days! The staff were friendly, and the coffee was delicious (roasted in BC ironically) We had homemade soup and a muffin for lunch - and ended up with a date square and muffin to... More

I only frequent a few local coffee shops in Thunder Bay. The Bean Fiend Cafe is my go to place for a "Red Eye" "Expresso" and "Late". It also serves really good food (salads, sandwiches, soups and sweets). A great place to do work, meet with colleagues and relax (out on the patio)

WOW!! If you are anywhere near Thunder Bay Ontairo Canada, go here and eat lunch. Seriously, you owe it to yourself. This was the best soup and sandwich lunch I've ever had. My wife had a grilled cheese and peasant soup, I had the Chicken and Brie grilled sandwich with the peasant soup. They offer hit and cold sandwiches. Simply... More

A great place for Vegans and non-Vegans. Very friendly staff and owner is highly personable. The coffee is also amazing! Love everything about this cafe and wish it was where I live too!
