Great place to go for a small group. Menu selection offers good vegetarian options. The beer selection is great. The staff are very helpful.

Brought our spouses to this to try on a recommendation of a coworker. Can see why! Servers are friendly and quick. Did I mention the beers? Amazing very clean and easy to drink. Food is great as it is freshly made and tasty. I like that it is a place for all walks of life and did love the atmosphere.... More

The oatmeal stout was a bit off last Saturday and with the very cold temperature, it made the entire restaurant very drafty. Otherwise the service and food is bang on! Real food, not overly processed and you can tell it's made in house with many options for veggie dishes.

While downtown with some friends we decided to do a pub crawl and we ended up at the merchant. Although they don't have a huge food selection it's good for apps and little snacks and the beer was pretty good too. The service wasn't the best but in their defense it was very busy and were still very friendly.

The food and drinks here are pretty amazing. The only thing deterring us from returning more often is the inconsistent service. Sometimes it's ok, others it's the worst. I just called to check out the specials for today and got told: "uhh I have no idea, I just walked in the door." ...won't be going here for a while.

We went for a late lunch on Boxing Day and it was very busy. They staff opened a new section in the basement, and were pretty efficient at serving us, despite the crowds. I had the vegan version of the 1lb. meatless wings with dry Cajun spice. It was tasty, but his amounted to an excessive amount of soy on... More

I noticed all the rave reviews for this place so I decided to meet an old friend here for beers and lunch. The service was good and so was the beer but the food was poor and over-priced. This place is a bar - not a restaurant. If you want to eat go elsewhere.

This brew pub is a a great find in downtown St. Catharines. The beer is wonderful and the food is surprisingly good. Even better, the service! I recommend the pulled pork!

So tge merch has amazing beers to choose from, my favourite being the house ale, always go with an ale anyways. The food is great, general pub fare that goes great with the beer. Ohh and did I mention the ale is great and they make it in house like all the other beers that are on tap. The ruben... More
