It looks like a cheap hotel on one side, but the service and food was exceptional. Steak and fish was cooked to perfection along with potatoes and salads. We were told at the park this was the place to go and they were right. We will be back.

I ordered the prime rib with a twice baked potato. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan with mashed potatoes. In addition, the dinners came with a generous portion of freshly cut vegetables. The food was hot, delicious and attractively presented on the plate, The server was attentive returning to ask how we liked our dinners and refilling beverages. We will definitely eat here again when we are visiting Sarnia,

I went to Waggs recently with my husband and sister. We arrived just before 5pm on a Saturday with no reservation and it was full. We were able to sit at the bar which was actually really nice! The bartender Aimee was so friendly and helpful. She helped us choose a bottle of wine, and we received our food quickly even though it was so busy! The phone was ringing off the hook for the most part but Aimee kept on top of everything, she was awesome! The food was delicious. The prime rib especially. My sister and husband also had French onion soup which looked great! We were so happy with our meal we will definitely return soon!

We enjoyed an incredible dining experience with a large party of 9 of us last night at Wagg's restaurant. We arrived and were greeted promptly and brought to our reserved table (we were taking out family from Scotland who are travelling back on Saturday). They have a great selection of wines and beers including beer from our local Imperial City brewery (I had the Hazy!). We started off with some delicious appetizers and one of the best tasting homemade soups I have ever had (PS..Wagg's is also well known for their homemade soups...you must try them!). Everything from our appetizers to our delicious meals (which included ribs, chicken cordon bleu, steak and shrimp and prime rib) came out piping hot and delicious! Our family from overseas even commented that this was the best meal they have had on their trip! Ashley (our waitress) was incredible, very attentive and took VERY good care of us. When you combine great service with a great meal, it's easy to see why Wagg's is (in my opinion) the best restaurant in Sarnia!!

We both had the Prime Rib au Jus from the seniors menu, available from 4 to 6pm. It comes with soup or salad and your choice of potatoe for $25. The meat melted in your mouth. The service was great too. The Carmel cheesecake was delicious too.

Staying in a Super 8 I was expecting a family type restaurant, not the elegant dining room I walked into and they were BUSY. It's easy to see why they were voted #1 in Sarnia last year. Book ahead. As well, hotel guests get a 15 percent discount if they order from the regular menu (not senior)

We recently had lunch at Wagg’s and thoroughly enjoyed their 3 item lunch special which consisted of a tossed green salad, minestrone soup (they also offered a loaded potato soup), and a 1/2 spinach chicken wrap. The salad, which included mixed greens, cucumber, tomato and onion, was fresh, crisp and delicious. The minestrone soup was hearty, loaded with vegetables, pasta and beans and not over salted. The wrap was tasty and fresh. The service was very friendly and attentive, always asking to refill water and making certain that we enjoyed our meal. For under $15.00, we wondered why anyone would choose fast food over this delicious lunch offering. Previous to this visit, about a month ago, we ordered take out from Wagg’s. Our order was ready at the prearranged time for pick up. The 2 prime rib dinners we ordered were both done to our liking (rare & medium), hot and very tender. Vegetables were not over cooked and well seasoned. It was actually like eating the same food at the restaurant in our own home. We highly recommend Wagg’s for an excellent dine in or take out .

We had salmon and pickeral(walleye). Salad or soup and vegetables came with the dinners. Choice of potato. Bread and butter were served before our order was taken. A nice glass of wine topped it off. All of the food was very good and not overly seasoned. We found the restaurant by accident as a lady at the park told us how good it was. We were not disappointed. This is not fast food, but a quality sit down establishment. Our waitress was cordial and not overly pushy. It came with all the silverware and cloth napkins. The people around us were celebrating anniversaries or birthdays. It was crowded for mid-week. I would suggest reservations, as we had none. Yes, I would return for a special day.

Attended with 12 friends for a special birthday party. All our varied meals were very good with good portions. Also allowed to bring our own birthday cake with it's personal message & our server presented it nicely. The place was full including another large group celebrating an anniversary. We knew a lady in that group & they were also pleased with their meals & service.

We recently organized our company Christmas party, and it was an incredible experience! From the beginning, everything was handled seamlessly by the staff. We had a group of 30 people and were pleasantly surprised to find the event room downstairs, which we didn't even know existed. The room was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The young ladies who served us were exceptional—so polite and attentive, ensuring everything flowed smoothly throughout the event. I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to host a memorable gathering!

Subpar is being generous. This restaurant is in a motel 8, so with that expectations were low. With that being said, the prices were outrageous for what it was. I ordered the special which was steak, shrimp and a potato which was $38 and then they charged us on top of that to make the side a twice baked potato. Food was what you would expect from a diner, not great, definitely not worth $38 + cost of a substitute"wags" potato. 4.50 Salad came with the meal. Which was a garden salad with the dressing in a plastic container with a lid. At this price point you would think the least they could do is put the dressing in a ceramic container. The main course had a strange assortment of veg, most of which was obviously cooked some time ago. The veg included plantain, beets, 1/4 of a corn on the cob. Very strange selection in my opinion, but it was how long ago it was cooked that was curious. Flies were also an issue, we spent a fair amount of time swatting flies. Waitress was kind but the service felt rushed. One dinner special of the day, one steak meal and a seniors meal with a cappaccino came to $110 +tip. Again, for the price point- not worth it. This used to be one of our favourite spots to go, not any more :(

Horrible customer service. Completely rude wait staff in the dining area. The small bar side of the restaurant, I've never had an issue with and the servers on that side or small part are fantastic. I attempted to go Friday night solo. I had to wait for about 7 mins to even get noticed by the gossiping hostesses. I was finally seated at a "reservation no show table." I waited 20 mins. 3 servers passed me by, none made eye contact or offered me a beverage. A table of 4 were seated 10 mins after i was seated. A server went to take their drink order right away. I was still ignored. At the 20 min mark, I decided to get up and leave. I don't think anyone noticed this either. Friday wasn't a particularly busy night either. Not sure what the issue was. Glad I am invisible though. I won't return, just wanted a nice steak dinner. What a complete waste of my time.

Stayed at the Super 8 Hotel and decided to put in a take out order at Wagg's Steak and Seafood Restaurant. My wife ordered a Beef Veggie Stir fry and I ordered a Chicken Stir Fry. Both were excellent and came with either a soup or salad. We both chose the salads and they were excellent. Wagg's is within walking distance of downtown Sarnia an the St. Clair River and Sarnia Bay. Highly recommend Waggs.

An early bird dinner from the seniors menu was excellent in service, preparation, presentation and taste. Three of us each ordered the prime rib which was tasty and the salads were fresh and crisp. Beating the Friday evening crush made the meal very enjoyable.

I've always liked Waggs, they never disappoint, one of my favourites in Sarnia. Good food and service. I always get the prime rib, my favourite on the menu. Mixed drinks are always made right, at least to my taste. Not overly expensive for the quality you are getting.
