Black Honey is not only a great café, but owner Lisa Dixon is a great caterer! Lisa and her staff think of everything – for example, they prefer re-usable or compostable cups and dishes even if it means lugging them to and fro. We needed a full day’s help with a workshop for 100 people and Lisa delivered morning coffee,... More

I have only experienced the take out of cakes and tarts. Everything is baked fresh and looks delicious!

Food made with love. The owner was awesome and on site. The food was amazing, especially the black bean mix for the brunch items. I was there with the dance company I work for and our experience was far beyond our expectations. Thank you to the whole staff of Black Honey. x0x

Love the food, coffee, cakes (gluten-free) and the cafe is so so cute and cozy and welcoming. However, every time I've been there the baristas have come across unfriendly, some with a borderline rude attitude. I asked about the gluten-free goodies they had on offer and the barista was very hostile. If this was improved it would be a complete... More

Black Honey was recommended by the waiter where we dined as I was looking for a delicious London Fog. He definitely sent us in the right direction as the beverage was yummy and the Kalhua Vegan Cheesecake was over the top deeelicious! Loved Black Honey, quaint and young feeling! I'd go again for sure!

I always go to Black Honey when I am in the city. The gluten free ginger cookies are amazing and if you have to eat g/f, do yourself a favour & go over to their bakery & pick up a loaf of their g/f bread? Yum!

Great food and thoughtful staff. Their avacado, bacon and tomato on molasses bread is perhaps my favourite. They poach eggs perfectly also. Anything chocolate they have will satisfy even the most discerning chocoholics.

Went there for a snack and really enjoyed their Sweet Potato Scone. Also very good cinnamon muffin. A few months before, though, we tried their gluten free bread and it was virtually unedible....looked great, but it was dry and totally fell apart. Maybe they've improved on it since then. Gluten free bread is always challenging.

Away for the weekend looking for the Butter tart trail. Black Honey tarts were well worth the hunt. I have always been used to the traditional tart with raisins or currants these had neither and were awesome.
