Local hangout for the Glebe crowd which has great atmosphere, food and is not that expensive. Almost always half full to crowded, has a bakery, is licensed and has a relaxed coffee shop atmosphere. Always a great choice to drop in.

My teen daughters and I were impressed with the food choices although a bit informal, cafeteria style. The food choices are select but excellent variety and our 3 dishes were fresh and delicious. There are gluten free options for almost anything and the chef was very friendly and cooks right at the order area. We truly enjoyed the meal, although... More

Small place located in the Glebe. Great selection of veggie option with some baked goods with specialty grains. You can order at the counter or go to the sit down area in the back. Fair prices.

Had a great breakfast in this little gem in The Glebe area of Ottawa. I'm from Australia on holiday and just happened to be walking past and the vibe hit me and said 'come on in'. Very homely, great service and wholesome food. All vegetarian and much of it home grown.

The Wild Oat is my favourite spot in Ottawa! They have something for everyone! I love going there for breakfast and having the delicious wild plate. The sandwiches are awesome as well and the hot bar has a lot of selection for a one price bowl. They make all their own bread and they also have a tasty jam that's... More

Great vegetarian fare in the heart of the Glebe. Outstanding flavours and tasty baked goods (whoa the pecan cinn buns were stupendous!) Very organic and eclectic - not cheap but very tasty - next time I have to try their breakfast!

A cafe/bakery with the best atmosphere! Great coffee with delicious breakfast and lunch menu. Awesome bakery on the premises, too. A whimsical and fun selection of paintings for sale.

I can't say enough about The Wild Oat. I live in the neighborhood and regularly visit this restaurant to get my fix for delicious vegetarian/vegan food. The staff are all very friendly and create a laid-back atmosphere. Have a sit down meal or just visit the bakery/take-out side of the restaurant and you're guaranteed to love it!
