Had dinner here last night; was a bit surprised to enter at 7pm and see an entirely empty restaurant! Once we sat down, the waitress turned on the music and provided good service. We enjoyed some shrimp spring rolls (though we found they were quite heavy on the lettuce :( ), soups (it was chilly and we were feeling a... More

The service at this place was great, even though the waitress had a lot of people to serve. I had the Crispy chow mein with beef, pork and chicken and I would recommend it to anyone. When in Ottawa, if you want good service, good prices and excellent food. Drop in to Saigon

Five years ago, my husband and I found ourselves in Ottawa, trying to outrun Hurricane Irene, which was headed toward our hometown of Philadelphia. We were only in town for one evening before heading to Montreal, and so we asked someone on the street where to go for dinner and were told to stroll over to Byward Market and look... More

They serve Vietnamese and thai food. Quaint restaurant in an old building and clean. Very good food and nice server. It is located in Byward Market.

With all the options to eat in the Byward market area, we opted for Vietnamese. I'm from Vancouver BC so I am used to some great viet food, but this was only decent I'd say. Had the rice rolls to start and the beef/prawn vermicelli bowl. The bowl contents were okay, but the portion small and the flavour okay. It... More

We ( party of 6 /different age from 14 to 70) were walking in the busy streets of Ottawa looking for the place to eat and not crowed, saw a small restaurant with a few tables available. What a pleasant surprise : great tasty food( I would consider myself picky gourmet ),authentic, well presented, all 6 dishes ( mine was a lamb... More

I first ate at Saigon many years ago with friends who introduced me to several international cuisines and it has become a favourite of mine, tucked away in the Byward Market. Over the years I've had less opportunities to visit the Market, but I always jump at the chance to pop in again when life allows. I count on them... More

It was our first time there. Stopped for lunch before going to the Art Gallery. Found the food very good, light and tasty and the service was impeccable, friendly and efficient. Would go back.

Went on a Saturday night and was not impressed. Server hosed down the table with a spray bottle before seating us, so we waited for our food with the lovely odor of cleaner in the air. My wife got a powerful headache halfway through the meal (which she suggested might be msg, which has never affected her before). The noodles... More
