This was good eating in a non descript restaurant where the outside did not do justice to the good food and service inside. But now after a complete redo of the building inside and out it is almost fine dining. We were 4 adults and a child for the lunchtime buffet and that is when I found that even the... More

If you are looking for amazing food, service, you must enjoy coconut lagoon. Family owned and operated. Beautiful new interior and exterior renovations. Parking available. Accessible. Never disappointed.

It has lost it's soul. There is something wrong when an Indian restaurant does not have a decent cup of chai.

Beautiful restaurant makeover and some new items on the menu. Some very interesting apps; sauteed crab cakes and tandoori lamb chops. Great traditional Indian dishes for sure but the Kuttanadu duck, Quilon lamb and lobster Marsala are outstanding. Good desserts and a very nice wine list with multiple fine wines by the glass. A selection of Indian, other import and... More

After reading rave reviews I was expecting great things - and frankly, was disappointed. Some of the meals were good - the salmon curry was particularly tasty - but the lamb biryani was inedible. The meat was so fatty and chewy that I ended up having to spit it out. The service was also average. The waiter managed to slosh... More

Okay, so first, full disclosure: I did not eat at this restaurant. BUT, I definitely will. On April 27th I experienced Chef Joe's amazing cooking wizardry at an exclusive dinner held at Huff Estates Winery in Prince Edward County. An award winning chef paired with an award winning winery: a match made in heaven. Now for Chef Joe's culinary creations.... More

The food on the lunch buffet was very good. The restaurant has been renovated and the atmosphere has changed for the better. As a result, the crowds at lunch time are overwhelming the space. We four had a reservation, arrived at 11:45 and at 12:20 we felt that we had to vacate our table because there were more than 20... More

Lunch buffet has 3 or 4 meat items such as Butter Chicken, Pepper Lamb and Chicken Masala along with 4 or 5 veggie choices. All were very good, and we went to the buffet for seconds. Lunch is very busy and parking is limited. Can't wait to go back again.

This restaurant is a fantastic find! The food was fresh, delicious, with so many complex flavours. For appetizers, we shared aloo tikki, vada, onion fritters and vegetable samosas. All were delicious. For the mains, our party of 6 shared the king fish, 2 lamb dishes, the duck and nigiri chicken. All fantastic. When each member of the party says they'll... More

My wife and I discovered the Coconut Lagoon while searching for a restaurant we had not visited in Ottawa. The reviews were over the top so we visited the restaurant last night around 5:15. We were very surprised at how busy it became soon after arriving - completely full and second sittings while we were there. The serving staff was... More
