Found this cafe/coffee shop because we live close to Little Italy. Locally owned by an Italian family, small, extremely friendly and priced well. We walked in and it was like this little Italian "Cheers" with 2 guys at the counter and the owner/cook. The menu is simple with sandwiches, drinks and coffee. My wife and I had the breakfast sandwich.... More

I'll return each time I am in the area ! Homemade bread, incredible meats, chicken, oil, and served with sumptous tomatoes. Food is a labour of love for this owner and it is obvious he takes great pride in the ingredients and what he serves to you. Eat here -- you'll become a repeat customer. The food is so good... More

I finally made it for dine in. I have enjoyed a sandwich in the office when we did a group order. Today I finally dined in and the sandwich was great. You can follow the sandwich shop on Twitter to see the daily special. The bread was fresh sitting in the bags the flour came in. The tomatoes are home... More

Birthday lunch... you get to pick which ever restaurant you want and no one can complain or disagree. So, off we went to celebrate Billy's 26th!!! He chose this restaurant knowing we were bringing the pickiest twins ever... well, let's just say they finished everything on their plate. Food was freshly made in front of us, tasted great and the... More

My family loved our experience! The owner had such charm and charisma he kept us entertained. He takes great pride in every pride of food he creates. I would suggest this establishment for people who enjoy great food with great service. Thank you Billy for the suggestion and taking us.

Every visit to Sanguiccio is an experience - every sandwich is prepared personally by Genio, the owner, who is obsessed with the quality of his ingredients (like a true Italian should be). Prepare to wait 10 or so minutes as he lovingly prepares your sandwich from scratch and chats with the regulars (a few of which always seem to be... More

Very small, very local and totally authentic. All fresh ingredients and prepared in front of us. Not good if you're in a rush but totally worth the wait.

A group of five of us stumbled upon this little place in Little Italy, Ottawa. We thought it was closed since "open" sign was not working but tried the door and it opened. Run by a very charming and entertaining man who serves up authentic and delicious sandwiches with ingredients he has that day. Really delicious sandwiches, but be prepared... More
