In all honesty we wanted to go to Pure Kitchen tonight, but it was closed because of a flood. So we went to Churchill's. We are not really pub people and Churchill's was super busy, but we gave it a try. Great service and really good food! I had the Churchill's salad with grilled chicken, fresh greens, mango, avocado and... More

I'd really like to give this pub a four star all around frankly because the service is friendly and the food is pretty good. The only issue for our in our few visits is the slowness of the service. (Servers are really friendly though so don't confuse it). We've ubered there once on a weekend to enjoy an afternoon of... More

Hard benches, dim lighting... typical pub stuff. The bar selection was good, and prices are reasonable.

I don't know if the consider themselves a "gastropub", but their food is excellent and not your usual pub fare. I've had the brisket, the meatloaf, the reuben and the pulled pork, on numerous occasions and they are all delicious. Downstairs is dark and cozy - great for winter and the rooftop garden is great for summer. Plus they keep... More

I've lived in the neighbourhood for over 20 years and I miss some of the old school pubs and restaurants that used to line the street. Places you could just hang out or be a regular. Many of the new places are trendy and over priced. I'm not sure how long they can survive the high costs of doing g... More

Trio has better drinks, Pure Kitchen has better food, but this general-duty bar features *some*craft beer, a high-def TV for sports, lots of booths for privacy, and a menu that is at least one cut above Ottawa's bog-standard ( The Royal Oak chain). And their wings are among the best in the city.

Stopped in for a bit of lunch and a drink. We ordered chicken wings and breaded zucchini sticks. Both were very good - the wings were moist and the flavouring sauce was placed on the side. The zucchini sticks were simply excellent, hot and steamy and the breading was light and crispy - neither dish was a "death by heat... More
