Excellent cuisine. Good ambiance. Friendly staff. Close to the downtown so easy to get to. Parking on the streets only.

We went here for dinner with my son and daughter in law. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is delicious! I had the trout risotto which was very tasty and well cooked, the others had the beef cheeks, corned beef and venison. Each teach was cooked superbly and tasted delicious.

My husband and I went to The Church Key Bistro on a Friday night. It was crowded so we sat at the bar. FYI a church key is what I knew as slang for a bottle opener. The bistro has a cosy atmosphere with a mixed crowd of patrons of all ages. The service was great! The bartender was efficient,... More

We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night at 9pm and got the last table. Service was friendly and quick, without being intrusive. Food was excellent. Amazing burger, clearly hand made from top ingredients, the trout with risotto was also wonderful. The trout was flavourful and moist with a perfectly cooked and delicately flavoured risotto. A great selection of... More

the church key is a small restaurant with a big heart. it expands with a patio in the nicer weather. I ordered a steak sandwich and it was excellent. the soup of the day is also good. My friend ordered a salad with scotch eggs on the side and it was a full plate.

We had a reservation for 4 people but we had a niece join us. This change was accommodated with no fuss. The service was excellent! Very attentive but not hovering. The food was delicious. We shared 2 appetizers and Everyone had a different entree . All were very good! We have been here for lunch before and the dinner was... More

First of all, played Blues music most of the time, very good! Mushroom dip appetizer was very good, and the pretzel bread was good. Was full already but got the fish and chips, fries were average, but the fish was fantastic! I highly recommend!

Not my favourite. Gets very loud. Pub food with a twist. Service is very relaxed and not particularly fast. One friend's salad did not get ordered and she waited while the rest of us started to eat. Food was good but not amazing.

We were at a nearby client for a business meeting. We didn't have a lot of time for lunch but wanted something better than fast food. The Church Key proved to be a great choice. We told the waitress were in a bit of a hurray and she served us very quickly. The food was really good as well.

Stopped in for lunch before a play. It is a great location - right across the street from the theatre. I had the daily special, which was smoked Muscovy duck breast in a chive Parmesan risotto and very tasty, a blueberry Collins, unique and refreshing, as well as the Chocolate Guinness cake with caramel sauce and beer nuts - also...
