Consistently good food and great service. Helpings are generous and prices reasonable. We usually get the haddock (our preference), fries and salad and we have never been disappointed. Very busy Friday nights, so arrive for an early supper (5ish) or best to wait towards 7 pm when the tables clear a bit.

This is by far one of the best fish and chips establishments in Ontario. We came here and had the halibut and haddock and it was dann tastym. People complain about the halibut being to thin and that's ridiculous. Ita halibut... A very tasty and pricy piece of fish. They then complain about not having homemade tartar. Its tartar sauce...... I can't believe that I have driven past this restaurant 100s of times, but today was my first visit to Captain George's. I ordered take-out fish and chips, and it was awesome!! The portion size for the 1 piece meal was massive - easily split between two. Service was friendly and speedy, with only a 5 minute wait time between... More

A family owned and run business, this place offers fresh fish quickly and efficiently. There are no false errs here. The staff are genuine and care about the meal they provide. Caution though, they are popular, so there are times you will need to wait. Try the salads too. I find them really good.

I have had lunch at this restaurant many times. The fish and chips are delicious and much less expensive than some other Kingston restaurants. Service is friendly and fast. Great place to have lunch on a budget and with fast service.

The fish is really good, as well as the homemade soups. A meal that is well worth the price, which isn't too high. Friendly, fast service!
