Great selection of beer, great atmosphere and the Mac and Cheese was excellent. I have the Nona and friends had the pulled pork version. Both were fantastic.

Been here a few times -- I try to avoid it, but sometimes friends and colleagues want to go here. The food is a weak take on Tex-Mex -- I find it bland and uninviting. Ribs are decent, I suppose. Ok patio to drink beer on in summer, and the beer selection is getting better (but, nothing to rave about).... More

The Bang Bang Shrimp had dusted shrimps tossed in Dynamite sauce, drizzled in chipotle mayo, and topped with jalapeño . At first glance, the dish was smaller than I expected but its taste made up for it in the end. I loved the dusted crunchiness of the shrimps drizzled in the chipotle mayo and Dynamite sauce. It was just spicy... More

This restaurant has recently changed its menu, so we tried it again despite lackluster meals in the past. We each tried one of the new fish dishes. The Southern Catfish was bland and unappetizing. The fish was yellowish in colour, served over bland rice and corn, and could have really used some colour and some crunch. The Bang Bang Shrimp... More

While my wife and I were doing a Foodie road trip and we ended up in the quaint town of Dundas. There are some really nice shops to look around and a few restaurants to try. We decided to give The Thirsty Cactus a try which was a big mistake. We were seated promptly and the servers seemed nice. The... More

Thirsty Cactus has pretty good food and the atmosphere of the restaurant is lively and fun! I ordered a quesadilla and my friend ordered the burrito so we could try more than one dish! Both were pretty flavourful and quite filling. The sad part was that we noticed a bug in our salsa dish when we were almost finished eating,... More

We arrived late into Dundas and The Thirsty Cactus was the only open restaurant. Food, service and atmosphere were fine.

The Thirsty Cactus is a Dundas favourite watering hole with a great "pub food" menu. Smiling staff and reasonable prices.

Enjoyed the Jerk Chicken Bowl. Packed with flavour from the jerk rub to the sweet potato, cliantro and mango zing - gotta have it again. Chimichanga was good, but my taste for that dish leans towards crisp 'n deep fried, while the Cactus' version was...healthier ;) We were seated in the back area, near the patio doorway. Ample screens to... More

Ate here got sick. What more can I say? I found the service not so great and the food less so. Getting immediately ill after eating there means I won't be visiting again!
