Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the moment we walked through the door the staff made us feel welcome as they showed us to our table. Little did we know we were in for an unforgettable afternoon of fine food, excellent wine, attentive staff and all with an unrivalled vista....These attributes were seamlessly stitched together by the wonderful staff who were knowledgeable about the menu ingredients, eager to explain dishes and proud to be part of the Bangor Vineyard Team. We are looking forward to our next visit to Bangor restaurant. Thanks to everyone for making our family get together extra special. Do have a Bangor Sparkling Wine perfect for any celebration.More

Great little vineyard and cellar door operation not far from the Port Arthur Historic Site. This small family-owned business has had its roots in Tasmania's picturesque south-east corner for well over a century and the quality and authenticity of tourism experiences on offer here reflect...a careful balancing of traditional and contemporary Tasmanian lifestyle. Wine quality is excellent.More

I'm becoming a bit of a regular to the Bangor Wine Shed. The staff always welcome me warmly, I can't take my eyes of the stunning land and seascape, and there is always something delicious on the menu to go with my wine or coffee....It's my go-to place to take visiting friends and relatives too, because I can trust you to deliver on the experience, every time. Thanks so much.More

Our waiter, Matt, held a great level of service the whole way through. I arrived slightly before my friend with no booking on a Thursday midday and he took the time to move our table for a better view and learn my friend's name so...he could use it on her arrival. He was patient and understanding with my friend's dietaries and allergies, and continued a relaxed, casual, and friendly conversation throughout our visit, even remembering our names when we left. We stayed for 2 and a half hours as we hadn't seen each other in a long time and not once felt pressured to leave. Food was amazing too, highly recommended the lamb meatballs!More

We have dropped in on many occasions the past. We booked this visit months in advance as we had friends from overseas and requested a table outdoors as we possibly could have a dog with us. Despite booking in advance & reconfirming a few days...out with the specific request noted, on arrival we were told we were booked inside. I explained there was a specific note for the deck. We managed to grab the last table outdoors in the wind & quite cool. We were later advised tables on the deck could not be reserved (despite a number of tables having reserved signs & have done so in the past also). As it was we managed the last table, however, had we been a few minutes late, we would not have a table and could have travelled over an hour for nothing despite booking in February! A simple phone call explaining any changes to the booking would have been appreciated. Having said all of the above, the food & wine was enjoyable but we were freezing & blown away by the wind.More

The service here was friendly and efficient, the food was just outstanding and the location is divine. We wish, so much, that we could visit again as the oysters and mussels were just so good!! Also a special mention must go to the superb chicken...liver pate and the freshly made pasta dish. Everything was excellent.More

A short turn off, just after getting on the peninsula. A great spot for a good lunch. Beautiful setting, high quality wines, especially the Riesling and a small but excellent menu. Portions are large, so sharing is great.

Check their website as I think the menu is listed. I would say contemporary Australian cuisine with a focus on Tasmanian produce
