Skip the Hall during "Barrielicious". Cheap menu and it shows. Coq au Vin full of tiny bones - worse than eating fish. Desserts underwhelming.More

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all of our guests' patronage and their comments. I am however unsure if your review is actually for the right restaurant. I realize you have posted 26 separate reviews all in one day so maybe there was a...More

Can't say enough about this place, we were so pleasantly surprised! BEAUTIFUL decor inside, food is excellent (both presentation and taste) and the service was very impressive. Only downside is that it can be pricey and the menu is limited. We'll go again.

It should be in the top five in Barrie. Food quality is very good. Service is average and the wine list is beyond mercenary.

Went to this restaurant with my husband, the wait was long to be seated because it is such a small restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurant to families or young people. It is a restaurant that has a lot of older crowd. The prices...More

I cannot tell you how good the food is here. The staff are friendly, and helpful, the inside of the restaurant is cozy but all that pales in comparison to how good the food is. Our group had a number of different dishes from the...More

Ambiance at this upscale restaurant is both intimately elegant and casually cheerful. Food is inventive, fresh, beautifully prepared and served. Appetizers are fantastic and prices seem very reasonable. Wine pairings offer a good range for varied budgets. Owners and staff are friendly: hip with no...More

We have been to many independent restaurants in Barrie and feel that Painters Hall offers one of the best dining experiences in town. This was solidified by a recent visit back.... The food was fantastic. Would recommend the duck-4-ways (main course) as well as the...More

Had a birthday party there, with wine and a mini cake. The wine selection was smallish but good. The food was excellent, nicely presented and very tasty. Desserts were tempting but passed up by most of the calorie-conscious. Service was quick and very friendly. All...More

I have been aggressively exploring the culinary landscape in Barrie over the last year. I've had some great meals at a few places around town, but I had been waiting for that one place where I had just an across-the-board completely satisfying experience. I found...More

The dress code isn't something we are regularly asked about. Most customers dress casual to business casual. Very few baseball caps, track pants etc. Is there anything you are particularly concerned about?
