Make a reservation - we didn't and ended up outside on a cool night. That said, the fish was very good, the service was prompt and friendly, and now we understand why the place is so popular with locals and travellers alike. We had a...More

Stopped here for lunch on way back from Cabot Trail, glad we did. Food is made to order so it is a little slower but marginally slower than others. Food is excellent with wide variety of choices. The ambiance is great, we sat downstairs because...More

Our dinner took 2 hours due to very slow service. Fortunately we were not in a hurry and enjoyed the magnificent view from the 2nd floor deck. The mussels appetizer was a good portion we shared and was very good. I had the salmon dinner...More

We dined here while passing through town. It was a nice surprise. We were seated upstairs. My husband had the steak special and I had the halibut. The chef was kind enough to pan fry it rather than butter poach. The beer on tap hit...More

Great staff and food was excellent. New renovations look good and the menu had a few new items, always worth a visit when in Sydney!

Sorry, just realized that there were notifications I hadn't answered. I guess it's too late but for future questions on entertaining at this restaurant you can check their website. Thanks
i have eaten there twice now.. why is it that i have to wait 2 hours from sitting down to receiving my meal? wonderful food but...when i go to a restaurant , it is because i am hungry. Waiting 2 hours not once but twice is excusable.

Hello. I called Governors for you. Oysters are a regular menu item. They are served raw with sea salt, pepper and lemon and cost $2.00 each. I have never had them (and never will, lol) so I can't review them for you... More
