Needed a place for a quick lunch while on a tour. Some of the group went to McDonald's or Subway, but I spotted the sign that says, "Where the locals eat" and knew that was for me. One orders at the counter and the food is brought to the table. I had a very good lobster roll and equally good... More

My husband and I were here for dinner on Sunday, August 2nd, 2015. It was our first time at Snow Queen restaurant and we were really looking forward to it because of the signage about the locals eating there for years. The interior decor is very nice and features wall paintings of the history of the Snow Queen restaurant with... More

Four of us ate here recently. My 87 year old mum, my husband and myself and our 6 year old grandson. We all really enjoyed our food and time spent there. Food was good and there were other choices for our grandson who is not a fish lover.

I'm sitting in Snow Queen as I write this, having just finished the X Men's Breakfast, which was excellent. Last night we were here with our family (we're taking a two-week road trip through our beloved Nova Scotia) and had the fish tacos and chowder. The plaque on the wall (TASTE OF NOVA SCOTIA QUALITY MEMBER) tells the tale--Snow Queen's... More

The sign says "Where the Locals Eat", and for once they are not exaggerating. The locals do pack this place, and for good reason. Menu is small, but everything on it is fantastic. Seafood chowder exceptional - best we found in an entire week in Nova Scotia. Only other seafood is fish and chips. Exceptionally good value. Nothing fancy in... More

Theresa was wonderful. There was a very rude customer who demanded unreasonably from her. I felt she provided the best service ever!! Great food always. Great place to sit, clean and nice people.

The service here is great and fast. Prices are decent. I love the breakfast wrap. Everytime I went I always got a wrap, hashbrowns and a chocolate milkshake. If you go and you want to get a milkshake, I suggest you go on a weekday because the middle-aged lady makes them way better than the young people do. And she... More

the Snow Queen is great for breakfast and lunch. It has an old diner feel to it. Fish and chips are very good.

I had breakfast this morning at Snow Queen, James Street, when I walked in the door the server at the counter treated me with a huge smile as I walked in the door, his name is Paul, charming. Great breakfast and this young man will go far in the service business if he chooses.
