I have been to The Brownstone with my children and with my coworkers many times. Whatever the occasion I am never disappointed. Somehow the atmosphere can suit any occasion. The staff works to make the customer feel welcome. With kids this is great because when I go out I want to be served in a nice setting. Many restaurants with... More

My husband and I came here for dinner this past weekend and had a wonderful dinner. The staff is so friendly and welcoming! I had a steak and it was cooked just to my liking! My husband had the fish and chips and said they were the best he's had in town! I finished the evening off with the deep... More

Had lunch twice at this cafe, once driving to Antigonish from CB specifically to have lunch here. Nice, cozy atmosphere, friendly attentive service and comfort food. It is cozy with no trace of pretentiousness. Great music selection as well as we dined. Will return.

We had such a great lunch here - friendly service, delicious (and interesting!) food and great ambiance. I loved my first Peanut Butter and Jam Hamburger - with delicious cheese and carmelized onions, a great new combination; who'da thought! This will definitely be one of our stops when we're in Antigonish; we highly recommend it.

Definitely my go-to place for a consistently great meal. Service is very good and the owner, Joan, is generally in attendance. Randy is a great server! All the food is great and I've not had a bad experience yet!

Well worth it! Three of us enjoyed three different burgers and shared an order of nachos. Each of us had a different burger and they were all very good. Nachos were very good as well and they were done with kettle chips.
