We went to the Rocket Bakery twice during our stay in St. John's - once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both were delicious. We like the quirky style of the eating area. It is nice that they have jugs of ice water that you can help yourself to. There is not a huge selection, but everything we tried was... More

The rocket bakery is a great spot to have a quick coffee and one of their diet breaking pastries or a quick lunch. They offer a great variety of foods so you'll be sure to find something to please your tastebuds. With the addition of some live music and an eclectic selection of gifts, it's a must see if you're... First time there. Just wondering around looking for sandwich. Making sense of the counter layout. Found it! Cuban daily special. Gf has a breakfast biscuit. Want cold bevy, no prices shown, bottle of coke. Ouch! 3$ for each coke! I wanted a glass of water and didn't see the ice water jugs till after I paid. Didn't realize sandwich put... More

Great place for a casual lunch. Nice sandwiches, soup and salads. You have the option to eat in or take your meal to go. I had the Thai chicken soup, fish cake and quinoa salad. Though the price was a bit high the soup was filled with chick peas so I took my salad with me to eat later. Cool... More

Came here 10am to purchase lunch with the intention of eating it on the run later. I had the chicken burrito (salsa & sour cream on the side) and the corn, bean, & red pepper salad. It was delicious and lasted me more than one meal. It's a little confusing when you first walk in...I don't know if I'd want... More

St. John's was closed for 2 days during major blizzard last week, EVERYTHING downtown from restaurants to coffee shops was closed. Rocket was literally the only place open mid-day Tuesday in a 15 block stretch of the downtown core. Anything would have been good, instead, Rocket was great, food was enjoyable, environment funky (in a good way), staff helpful and... More

I love the ambience, the food, and the drinks. It's not really a restaurant but it's much more than a coffee shop. It's my go to place for socializing with friends.
