Went here for a nice charcuterie and an assortment of cheeses. I was not disappointed, though a cheese and meat board itself wold be nice. Either way the food was very good quality. Service was excellent and the prices reasonable for the quality of the food. Located in the exchange district the atmosphere, a mix between rustic and modern, was... More

Took our daughter there for her birthday and they went above and beyond to make her feel special. Food is amazing, portions are perfect and prices are reasonable for the fantastic product. On top of this, the manager, Carly is one very special individual. She goes above and beyond her call of duty. Thanks so much Carly for helping us... More

My wife and I attended here after seeing a movie at Cinematheque. The service was excellent as we arrived at 5 without a reservation. They needed the table by 6:15. I had a yummy tenderloin and my wife had the brisket. As we were early the food came quickly and was delicious. The double stuffed baked potato was enjoyable along... More

I stopped by, and the place seemed nice, and busyv but no one was waiting. Except me, for many minutes, enough to read the whole menu, and decide I must not be worthy of a seat. So i am eating at the Deer and Almond, a block away.

On my first night in Winnipeg I was treated to dinner at Peasant Cookery in Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District, by Travel Manitoba and hosts Cathy Senecal and Tamara Soroka; the restaurant was simply furnished with tables and chairs outside for al fresco dining. The dinner menu suggested starters of Beet Salad, Duck Bruschetta, Poutine and Charcuterie, followed by Tourtiere, Fish... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the staff at the hotel where we were staying, and we were rewarded with an absolutely delicious meal. The setting and decor of the restaurant very much invoke rustic French restaurants in the countryside--jars of pickled and preserved vegetables and legumes, and objets d'art on the walls. The restaurant staff are exceptionally professional... More

My wife and I were treated for a business evening out at the Cookery. Delicious menu, very creative and very flavourful. The knowledgable staff were able to suggest wines and assorted beers to pair with the courses. Very friendly staff and warm inviting environment. Lounge was excellent, clean facilities. Will definitely come back!

We love this place for a foodie-delight date night in Winnipeg! Staff are very knowledgeable about the food and wine and service was excellent. Peasant uses as much local produce as possible, which we love! Highly recommend this experience
