This restaurant has been around nearly 5 years and this evening was the first time I visited it. As with many wonderful restaurants in Whistler at this time of year, Alta Bistro has a special 3 course menu at great value of $23! All the...More

Alpha's hip bistro environment, thoughtful service and excellent food was a treat! There was a wine event occurring concurrently and the staff were both thoughtful and professional. I would return again and again to try other dishes!

The dinner menu is limited but very interesting. They combined a lot of different flavors - maybe too many. We had delicious bread and warm olives variety - all delicious. I had eggplant fritters that had a lot of accompaniments. They were light and interesting...More

It was a very hip urban atmosphere at Alta. imagine where all the Yuppies hang out in your respective towns, and you have Alta in Whistler. The food is French lean and good if you are into that kind of cuisine. Between red door and...More

We strolled about the village and found that most locations were filled out into the walk. Well, we had a fine dining restaurant in the building for our hotel. My wife wanted to keep the cost down and I pointed out the current exchange rate,...More

Very interesting food. We had the sharing cheese/meat platter to start and steak and salmon as main courses. Sounds a bit bland but it was anything but. All fresh local ingredients and all delicious. Good quality service and nice atmosphere also.

Trip Advisor may have led us to Alta Bistro, but their terrific food will bring us back! One of the great things about Whistler is that it is quite walkable. We scoped out Alta's location during the day and were able to park very close...More

We incorrectly imagined Whistler to only have ski resort style pubs. A quick check on Trip Advisor lead us to Alta Bustro very close to our hotel. Every facet of the dining experience was excellent - welcome, decor and ambience, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Then...More

Great place off the main drag, wonderful people and food. Order the bread, it's worth the $5. The food was excellent, wine listings are good, prices are fair. Top notch service!

Locally inspired cuisine set in a casual bistro atmosphere. Chef Nicholas Cassettari combines his classic training, top tier experience, and world travels with the best of B.C.'S bounty to create the fine flavours at Alta Bistro. Service is casual and prompt in the dining room and bar. The wine list is French focused, with the best of B.C. As well as international selections (many by the glass) with Enomatic machines dispensing fine and eclectic selections to pair with Alta's cuisine. Mixologists behind our bar craft some of Whistler's finest cocktails. The cozy bistro atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Reservations are a must.
