Was in here with my SIL and niece as she was starving. Knowing it was a sandwich shop and I'm gluten free; that my options were going to be slim if any at all. We made some chatter about it being gluten free and the owner/manager had said he was working on a recipe for GF bread and if I... More

This was a very nice surprise since the Bay Center was as awful as I expected it would be, but to head out and find this little place just outside the entrance on Douglas was a nice find. The staff are very nice and welcoming. There is very little seating inside and a bit outside, but you can take a... More

This place was a nice surpise. It was not overpriced, and the sandwiches were very good. It is a small, local owned place and definately a place to check out when you need a snack that is not a chain or too touristy.

This is my go to spot in Victoria when I need a tasty something. The samishes are divine and the selection solid. the coffee and fresh baked goods are great for healthier snack food.

I got to the mall before it opened, so I stopped in Sammich to have a tea and kill some time. I got the "sicky tea", which has an actual slice of lemon and fresh cut ginger. I also love how someone is finally spelling sandwich phonetically.

We tried a lot of places while in Victoria. However, we found our way back to Sammich 3 times. We always ended up sitting on the "squishy" chair :) The Chorizo sandwich was awesome! The cappuccino was also very good. Definitely give it a try.

On the south side of View Street between Douglas and Government, this is a great alternative to the "food fair" in the adjacent mall. The coffee is great, the owner is always smiling, the food is locally and ethically sourced, fresh, and seasonal. I don't generally drink coffee, but I like their lattes. Love this place!

My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite here on Sunday when it seemed like everything else resembling a cafe or bakery was closed. Nice fresh sandwich ingredients, a super delicious caramel latte (my husband enjoyed his chai latte too), and a funky little corner to sit in and people watch. Great spot!

I have visited Sammich twice now, and I'm very impressed with what the young owner has created. She is working very hard to make her product fresh, from scratch, with local ingredients-- and it shows! For lunch, had the pilgrim sandwich (turkey and cranberry on delicious fresh bread) and with a cup of housemade mushroom & leek soup. Everything was... More
