I just needed a quick bite. Could have gone back, just didn't have time. The Caesar intrigued me with bacon and fried capers! Excellent. A Canadian white to go with.....perfect.

The food is wholesome, portions large and coffee great. Highly recommend lunch or weekend brunch. I have not been for dinner, but hear there is live music on weekends too.

We had dinner lunch and dinner there on our one day stay in Victoria. The food was excellent and the waiter very friendly. There was a 2 piece band playing at dinner time. Two guys who played excellent guitar tunes. Highly recommended

Had been by this place a number of times and finally got to experience first hand. Enjoyed the evening, excellent meals, excellent service and very good value. We first sat outside and then when the evening air cooled off we moved inside. Loved the place,...More

A number of locals recommended the bistro and the Sunday roast beef dinner. The decor is simple pub style but clean and comfortable, with tables outside and up off the sidewalk. Service was very good and the food quite tasty. I particularly liked the vegetables....More

A unique and outstanding restaurant. Service and food were superb! Had two meals there and would go back again and again.

Went with a group and chose a quiet Monday lunch - hardly anyone there…I fear that the chef must have been away too. My choice of fish and chips was a disaster….a brown cone containing a few flakes of cremated fish should never have come...More

This James Bay Area bistro did not come up during our research, but it was the first recommendation that we received from a resident of Victoria, which was echoed by other locals. Tucked away in a small, nondescript ground floor of a building, this is...More

After several really disappointing experiences a year ago, being residents of the area, we took a chance and returned with some friends. The restaurant is a lot less busy than it used to be, less noisy as a result, and overall the experience was better...More

I had the Seared Tuna Salad for a very early lunch due to the fact most of the egg dishes had hollandaise sauce & I'm not a fan of that. Yes, I could've opted out of it but I'm glad I had this salad. Fantastic!...More

Yes, they certainly do serve bacon and eggs as well as many other choices. While I have never had breakfast there, if it is as good as their lunches it will be excellent.
