One of the best places for brunch in the downtown area. There usually a short wait but it's worth it. The food is delicious and you can tell the ingredients are fresh! I highly recommend the Croque Monsieur - so yummy! They used to open for dinner but changed to brunch only in 2016 I believe. I hope they will... More

My husband and my best friend went to eat at this specific place as requested by my sister. We walked from our downtown hotel to this lovely little hole in the wall. If we weren't looking hard enough we could have missed it. When we walked in it was a mad house. We were greeted by a lovely man who... More

This is one of the most cheerful bistros you will ever visit. Only open for breakfast and lunch. There is almost always a wait, so check in and leave your name and they will text you when your table is ready. There is a good selection of breakfast entrees, plenty of very good coffee and juices, and alcohol if you... More

We had to wait a bit, but it was definitely worth it. Delicious breakfasts and great staff. Would definitely return on another trip.

Friendly, unpretentious staff that are quick with the coffee (French press- a nice touch) and a smile. Portions are generous, freshly made and piping hot. The ambience is busy but relaxed. I would eat here again.

We came for the French toast which I previously read about. Here they stuff it with banana and heap it with cream. It was an impressive display. We are more French toast traditionalists so we weren't as impressed as the other diners. We also had the eggs Benedict - delicious! And they make homemade ketchup so that was a nice... More

We arrived at the restaurant just after 10:00. We were very lucky that there was no line up on the sidewalk, which meant that we were seated immediately. We chose to sit in the centre of the restaurant right across from where the chefs were preparing the food. This allowed us to watch them cook, but it was also the... More

This is one of those small, tight & quaint spots for a nice Sunday morning breakfast. Usually pretty busy so leave your name and they text you and go for a walk. Had the frittata and the eggs benny which were both amazing and had a delicious side fresh fruit plate that was so good too! They have only fresh... More

What a cool, delicious little brunch spot. Very busy (as expected if your high up on trip advisor) therefore expected the wait so no problem. Waited half an hour for a table (they can text you when your table is ready). Front of house man is great, dealing with alot of waiting customers can't be easy but he was very... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
