Found A Long hair in food!!! Very nasty!!! So she gave me 20% off. How cheap is that!!! It should be free. They also have problems with their oysters, as the health inspectors put up signs inside their store. They use to be great, but they have become cheaper, with more amount of rice in their sushi, but less salmon... More

The service is really good and the prices pretty cheap. My Lunch Bento was just ok though. The California rolls tasted good, but were so big they were hard to eat. I usually don't complain about sushi thats too big, but there was no chance of getting this into your mouth. The mixed tempura (prawn & veggi) was good. I... More

I love this place for their sashimi size and freshness! The rest of the food is great as well! Everything is affordable (much better than all-you-can-eat).

Sushi rolls/Nigiri are huge, almost too big to eat at once. Super busy, packed with locals. Staff is friendly. I'll come back!

There are a few restaurants that are institutions on Davie Street. Samurai Sushi is one of them. Most people who eat sushi in the downtown will know of this place and most likely will have eaten here. Fish is very fresh. Service is usually very good. Prices are very reasonable. There is usually a line up for lunch and they... More

A local recommend this place when we were mentioned we wanted sushi but not necessarily high-end. This is kind of a hole-in-the-wall place, but packed with locals. A lot of food for not a lot of money. The rolls we had enormous amounts of crab. Staff was friendly and service prompt.

Great local favorite that has the look and feel and food of a small sushi restaurant in Japan. Family owned and operated. Friendly atmosphere generated by staff and customers. Authentic Japanese food - sushi, noodles, tempura. Reasonable prices for good quality & quantity.

We went there for dinner and the place was full which is a good sign. We didn't wait at all and had a table very quick. The sashimi was great and the sushi wonderful. Would come back a thousand times. Service is quick.

Samurai Sushi is very popular among locals, and now I can attest why. Do not come here with high expectations for de luxe cuisine and immaculate service but do visit this hidden gem if you are in for a local vibe, a reasonable balance of price and quality, and ready to be amazed with incessant darting of waitresses and toiling... Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
