Fresh, fast service, reasonable price: this is definitely one of the best sushi in town. Definitely recommended

I tried the beef teriyaki bento box for lunch, substituted the dynamite roll for an avocado cucumber roll. It was all fresh and quick to arrive. Light batter on the veggie tempura- tasty. The salad was a little lackluster would only complaint. Pleasant service. I will go back.

It is very competitive for high quality japanese Restuarants in Vancouver. This one is good and would both recommend and go back. We stopped in for lunch. Busy place. No waiting to get a table as they are large enough to accommodate their lunch crowd. Fresh sheet clearly visible and with a lot of rotating fresh fish. Bento boxes were... More

Nice fast lunch! Friendly service. Sat at counter to see the chef prepares all the orders. Nice conversation with the head chef about sake. Great job!

Two colleagues and I went to Temaki Sushi after we'd been locked in a room all day strategizing. As we were staying at the Holiday Inn on West Broadway, this is only a short cab ride away and meant we didn't have to venture further afield. Seated immediately. Good range of sushi, but not much else, no teppenyaki, etc. just... More

Make sure you make reservation when you go there in the evening, even with that you may wait 10-20 minutes which is worth a good sushi. I'd recommend Chef's roll for fans of mango & tuna. When you order it may take around 15 minutes for them as it's a super busy place, and when you ask for a favor... More

The quality of sushi is excellent, we stumbled across Temaki's by reading the Georgia Straight, they had a feature on restaurants to eat at and they were rated. This was one that was rated very decently. I'm glad we took a chance on this place, we haven't been disappointed in all of our visits to Temaki's.

The restaurant is very unassuming from the street but the food is fantastic. I was really impressed with their aburi (seared) salmon. Definitely a must try if you live in the neighbourhood.

One of my favorite sushi places in Vancouver, where there seems to be one on every block. The fish is very fresh, the tempura is light, not oily and the service is good.

Another very strong recommendation from our B & B hosts. They told us to walk right past the one on the same street and go into this one because the chef was so good. This restaurant really was a treat. We tried foods that we'd never been adventurous enough to attempt previously. My husband ate sashimi for the first time... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
