Alibi room is a good place to have dinner or some beers. It's close enough to Waterfront to walk there and it isn't too crowded. Food was tasty and not expensive at all. I would recommend it to couples or groups of friends.

We went to the alibi room last night to hang out with friends visiting from out of town. The place was busy, but we managed to get a table for 6 in about 15 minutes. It was just really good timing, as we had been told previously it would be 30 minutes to an hour wait. They have lots of... More

Prepare for a wait. Service is slow. Food is ok. Drinks are ok. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

Great atmosphere and great food. We didn't feel like visitors, more like locals. Good beer and great bartenders.

Food is okay, but not great. However, the beer selection is great and the staff very knowledgeable. Definitely the place to go to in Vancouver for trying awesome beer!

A bit disappointed with my visit. Ordered the burger and fries and was served a very overcooked/burnt burger. I returned it and was then served an inedible near raw burger after a further 20 minutes wait. I would like to say my server did his best to satisfy me but at that point I no longer trusted the kitchen staff... More

Very wide selection of beers, many San Diego breweries were represented on their menu as well as a few others. Very rare to find a place this complete up here. The food is OK.

We came here late in the evening. There was a queue to get in but we got a table after 10 minutes or so. We had standard burgers and fries - standard fare but one common response from party was how salty the fries were.

Lots of character and excellent beer selection including choice of beer flight. Elevated pub food is highlighted by the dessert which is incredible. Perfect place for unwinding while enjoying a couple of beers with friends.

Huge selection of craft beer on tap. Not a huge food menu but still great quality of food and taste. A little out of the way from the gastown area but well worth it if you're looking try out some different local brews. We were seated in the bsmt which was bar service only.

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
