Rain City Grill is a fine place and it is so quintessentially Vancouver that it will make you laugh. They are big into everything from fair trade to 100 Mile food. They quote David Suzuki twice on the menu (almost enough to send me rushing...More

We were a party of four on a cold, wet, dark Vancouver night. Rain City Grill provided a warm welcome and an inviting atmosphere. We all had the ten course tasting menu. With ten courses, you have to assume that some will be more successful...More

This was the best food during our four days in British Columbia. Delicious and creative preparations. Thoughtful service and recommendations. Lovely setting. Highly recommend if you are looking for a special meal in Vancouver.

I live in Vancouver and go to RainCity often. It's a great little restaurant, a few hundred metres from the beaches/seawall, nice views of the ocean. We come to RainCity for the food, though - awesome brunch and equally awesome dinners. Nice presentation, inventive, and...More

In the tiny little open kitchen, they are able to make magic happen. Everything from start to finish was utterly spectacular. Service and ambience is terrific. The whole team is to be commended!

Good service, nice views and interesting food. The place is not super fancy but the food was some of the best I've ever had. The menu of the day is a good value as comes with an appetizer and main for under $30 Canadian. I...More

We visited the Raincity Grill based on a review in our guidebook, and were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful and the wine list was varied and contained some superb local wines. It's at the top end of dining options in...More

We've been meaning to get to the Rain City Grill for a while now, but were saving it for a special occassion as it is out of our regular price range (which is generally - buy it at the farmer's market and cook it ourselves)....More

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along
