we made reservations to get a view of the stage from our table. Arriving at 7:30 gave us time to enjoy our food before the flamenco music and dancing began. The food was tapas style with drinks of choice -we had sangria to round out the experience. food was terrific with "Leo's lamb pops with polenta being our favourite. The... More

Kino, let's not overstate it, is a bar. They are Hispanic-themed, with live Flamenco music on a regular basis--we were there on a Sunday so the entertainment was the Tony awards on the big screen. Not many people there on that Sunday night, some of them seemingly were regulars who were pretty loud. We were seeking a light supper, and... More

The Flamenco performance was amazing, the food was and service was great. No other place like it in Vancouver. I'm definitely going back.

I've played live music at the Kino for the last 12 -13 years (gypsy-jazz 3rd monday) and I must say that the new owner is doing a good job at cleaning the place up. The menu has shifted for the better, the stage sound is better, the new paint and improved kitchen have all been steps up for this institution... More

Enjoyed an evening of music and flamenco at the Kino. Great Spanish guitar with song and energetic flamenco. It was a hot evening and enjoyed a jug of sangria. The food is tapas and it is a mix of snacks all reasonably priced. We had the nachos chicken wings, a number of their small pizzas, shrimp and chorizo skewers on... More

It's a great place to spend your Friday night and enjoy a great music and dance while drinking your sangria, and eating nachos! The staffs are really nice and friendly and the food is good enough. It's wise to make a reservation to get a good table close to the stage, or to make sure you get a seat, cause... More

I originally came to Kino cafe in the late 1990's. It was a cheap booze and fun atmosphere. Unfortunately nothing has changed in almost 20 years. The furniture, decor, food menu, and, most of all, unchanging music scene. It is really unbearable. Flamenco 24/7 and plywood floors. Time for new owners.

I went to the Kino Cafe for the first time last weekend. The Flamenco entertainment was excellent and worth at least one visit. The problem with this place is the service, in my opinion. On the way to the bathroom I ran into a really rude obnoxious guy who I thought was a drunk patron. Imagine my surprise when I... More

Kino's is a great place to go to watch some amazing Flamenco dancing. I come often (it's less than 10 minutes from my house when I'm staying in Vancouver) to meet up with a friend, have a pitcher of beer or sangria, catch up and then watch some dancing. I can't say anything for the food as I've only had... More
