Had a delicious trout bowl. The food is beautifully presented with nice flavours. Good wine choices and very yummy. A bit pricey!

Few things to take note of if you're heading to Chambar for an evening dinner over weekend. (1) Do call to check seat availability beforehand as it is quite a popular venue with lots of locals during weekend. (2) If you're there in a small group or solo - Good to sit by the bar, where the bartender is friendly... More

Run by foodies, love the plating and flavor combos. Note, you must order the side olives no matter what you get!

We were looking for a restaurant that served both shellfish and steak and this restaurant does. Both dishes were well cooked and well presented. There was a good choice of wine.

Single dad, likes weekends away. I got a table and received amazing service, food and drink. The mussels were amazing, as was the sardines appetizer, chocolate desert looked amazing but hesitated to explode in taste. This was my weekend splurge and I was happy!

Chose this restaurant after a family recommendation, so my expectations were high, and this place exceeded them. I sat at the bar on a Saturday night and the service was friendly and quick. The mussels were some of the best I've had in many years of travelling. This place will be on top of my list the next time I'm... More

Had a friend looking for a good time so here we are! Love this place. 3:00 pm casual cold cuts and sour bread. BC Chardonnay perfect. Such a wonderful place for any occasion. It is on the pricy side. Lots of cheaper lower quality places around but good bang for the buck service food drink wise.

Me and my friend were here for brunch. The food was so bad. Too spicy and salty. People are so friendly and very nice and cozy environment but terrible brunch. They are also so slow. So expensive for this quality I would say.

My family of 3 ventured to Chamber, despite it not being rated as a family restaurant. My teen is an adult sized young man. We all loved this cool, relaxed restaurant with scrumptious food! (I wouldn't suggest taking young children as it's a dimly lit venue with cool cocktails and delicious food...all of which may go unappreciated by youngsters;) Here's... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
