My daughter and I were excited to see a little French bistro on our shopping excursion and went in for lunch. Our waitress gave us good service throughout the meal. We ordered escargots as an appetizer to share. I ordered the croque monsieur sandwich. My daughter loves duck and ordered the duck confit sandwich. After we ate, I felt fine... More

Slow, Slow, Slow service. Only one waiter for the entire restaurant. The waiter is at the same time the barman. Very disappointing service. The food was ok but took hours. By the time we were finished dinner most of the deserts were sold out. This was one of my favourite neighbourhood restaurants but we won't be back. Too bad.

I have to tell you that the pasta dish was outstanding - the perfect balance of garlic/cream and pasta and a very satisfying portion - almost too much, but far too good to leave behind. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant, the staff did not rush us through the meal, but they were attentive when we were ready for... More

During Dine out Vancouver, we chose to visit this place as the menu sounded interesting and it is in a nice local neighourhood. We were certainly not disappointed...in fact it is a great find! Nice ambiance, great, friendly and attentive staff, good portion sizes, nicely plated and some special "french chef" touches. We all enjoyed our meals and discovered that... More

Nice french food, attentive waitress, good value for money, open, light and quiet. Three brunches here have all been good

The change in ownership has obviously had a huge impact. Once, one of our favourites. we now will not be returning. Too bad. Four of us for dinner and not a good meal between us. The fillet mignon was tough, the beef cheeks times two were fatty and dry and the duck confit overcooked.

Our group of ten arrived at 5pm. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. Upon arriving, we told the server that we had to leave by 7pm for concert. Our main course arrived at 6:45pm, causing us to rush our dinner and skip dessert. There was nothing complicated or special about our meals that would account for this slow service.... More

Cosy little place with delicious food. Very relaxed environment and no rush to kick you out. The lunch menu was simple but all looking tasty. The mussels with the cream sauce was superb :) Only downside the room was a bit cold

We arrived about 530 pm on Sunday night. It is half price pasta night. We tried the smoked salmon, the small pea and the mushroom pastas. All were well executed French style pasta's. All with cheesy sauce not Italian style tomato based sauce. Much more flavour in the sauces. The waiter was busy as the restaurant was three quarters full.... More

The food is not really classic French bistro fare but it was fresh, well prepared, tasty and generously portioned. Their 3 course prix fixe menu ($32) was excellent value. We had thick and rich tomato soup; crunchy salads with nice textures; tasty duck confit and yummy potato gratin; fresh fish cooked just right; flavourful pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil.... Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
