Two years ago I returned a dish I had ordered because it was deep fried and it didn't say so on the menu. The owner became very irate and started shouting at me and shaming me in front of everyone in the restaurant, as he threw the food into the garbage can, accusing me of making him lose money. He... Had lunch with my daughter. Good classical sushi with a wide range of vegetarian choice. Free misu soup as well. The portions were good. Taste is great. Clean and well priced. One thing..hing though, I believe they need to cut down on the amount of rice. Service was good as well.

Sushi Gallery has found a perfect balance between affordability and quality of food. They have a great variety of rolls (vegetarian/vegan/GF options) and provide you with complimentary green tea and miso soup. The staff are very friendly and always make sure you enjoyed your meal. The option of multigrain rice is also a nice bonus.

This place is great. Very good prices. Tons of gluten free stuff. Will give you gluten free soy sauce with your take out! Best kept secret on the westside of vancouver. Love them!

We love this place because it is really good value for money. Where else can you find large servings of Aburi maguro (8 big pieces) for under $10? Food is pretty good in itself, and considering the prices, really no complaints. It is a sushi joint run by friendly Koreans (the giveaways are the spicy tuna dishes). What we like most... More

Does not look impressive from the outside but the food is wonderful! Large portions at a great price! Can get busy but worth it!

We've been eating at this little neighbourhood sushi joint for a long time because the food has been reasonably cheap and decent. The service though has been going downhill for a while and has finally hit rock bottom. Customer satisfaction is definitely a low priority. Last night we didn't get what we ordered. When we complained we were asked if... More

A delicious delight in a tiny space. Authentic Japanese at a very responsible price. We had melt in your mouth sushi, AgiDashiDofu, shrimp tempura and more plus excellent hot saki and very cold Japanese beer with a frosted mug. Very fast, friendly service and a help yourself miso soup and tea bar, this gem is a must next time you're... More

We are from Ottawa and were so excited for BC sushi! This place really gave us our fill for an unbelievably inexpensive price. We shared one order of combo rolls and 2 orders of sashimi. Each piece of sashimi was at least an ounce! All very fresh and delicious, but we could even finish it! When the bill came, we... More

Team Itadakimasu came here for a Friday night dinner and I ordered a Chicken Karaage, aFire Dynamite Roll, and a BBQ Unagi (Eel) Roll. First off the prices here astounded me. Each item was under $5.50 or less and had a hearty serving of at least 8 pieces. The Fire Dynamite Roll was my favourite. It’s lathered with two kinds of sauce... More

Staying in West Point Grey

Neighbourhood Profile
West Point Grey
West Point Grey is one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, especially known for its easygoing and admired beachfronts. Locals crowd the Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach, especially in the summer, where a sprawling view of the English Bay awaits. The central village is an oasis of sovereign shops, many of them in local operation for years. The neighbourhood has a more personal feeling to it, and can be a wonderful and much-needed break from the bustle of big-city life, being a little haven of peace and quiet with an almost village temperament in the heart of Vancouver.
