This was our first time at Kishimoto and we are absolutley in love! I picked this place not only for the good reviews, but also because they serve okonomiyaki. You can order that ahead while waiting for your table, since it needs about 30min cooking...More

Kishimoto is consistently rated one of the best Japanese restaurants in Vancouver and deservedly so. The food is absolutely delicious. Service fast and friendly. There's always a line up as they don't take reservations. Having said all this, I do think the rolls are overpriced....More

I was in Vancouver for 5 weeks and this was my favorite sushi place. I usually got there around 4:30 for the 5:00 opening and was never the first person in line. I like the oshi here better than the aburi oshi at Miku and...More

Kishimoto is definitely one of my favourite sushi places in Vancouver. The only downside, no reservations and long waits! I normally do take out which I find is the best way to enjoy Kishimoto without having to stand outside for 40 minutes.

Drool.... Great spot for sushi. It's not a big restauant but you can put your name down, go for a drink somewhere else and they will give you a call. Great service, atmosphere, food and it's reasonably priced!

OMG! The Best Best Best donburi bowl I've had in my life and it wasn't even the fish that made it the best it was the rice - they mix it with their special sauce and sesame seeds and it's just incredibly delicious. I had...More

So amazing!! We had a bit of a wait to get a table, but well worth! Salmon Oshiro, spicy tuna, mamenoki roll, and for desert homemade matcha ice cream; deep fried with white chocolate & caramel sauce! We will be back and often!!

I was there for lunch so I can't speak for dinner lineups but I imagine if you go early or late is better than peak dinner hours. fyi I think it opens at 5;00 and it's not very big.
