They came three times before we were finally ready, and this was after we ordered a bottle of sake. The fish was really fresh, and nicely served. The egg was really good.... Not the typical supplier sourced stuff. Would go back. Near Yaletown station.

This little place has by far some of the best sashimi I have tasted in Vancouver. Japanese run restaurant has fresh of the day menu that changes regularly, and friendly and attentive service. To date, every item on the menu I have tried was yummy. My favorites include the Rising Sun roll; delicate balance of flavours and a feast for... More

Best Japanese food I ever tasted, the fish is so fresh and well prepared. Though the restaurant is small in size, but the quality of the food is absolutely wonderfully fantastic! Japanese food in Chinese run sushi place is no comparison. The price is slightly more expensive, but it's all worth it!!! I would give it 6 stars!!!

After 6 years of trying different sushi places, we can honestly say that this is by far the best. We now visit almost once a week to enjoy the atmosphere, the extremely friendly staff, and the amazingly fresh and refined sushi. Visit at about 7pm to get a seat in the window. Or order takeout and enjoy down at the... More

My girlfriend and I both enjoyed Kaide so much that we went twice in two days. We loved how the quality of the fish and also loved how everything was fairly priced! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a down-lo, great quality fish and non-over rated experience.

Vancouver has so much to offer when it comes to sushi, and this place definitely is a stand-out! We had the chirashi for lunch and loved it so much we went back the next day for more! The fish is so fresh and flavourful, the rice is wonderfully seasoned, and it's a very good price for the amount of food... More

There are more than 600 sushi outlets in Metro Vancouver, but most of them are run by Koreans or Chinese. Kaide sushi offers a truly authentic Japanese experience. The staff are very friendly, but most importantly, the sushi is amazing (and affordable!). This is one of my favorite sushi spots in Vancouver.

My wife and I love sushi, so when we arrived in Vancouver from Toronto, after checking into our hotel, it was our first order of business to find somewhere that serves "the good stuff". Kaide Sushi was one of the top names that popped up, so we headed there on foot from the Fairmont Pacific Rim. We were greeted warmly... More

Sushi places are on every corner in Vancouver and most are good. Kaide has something extra, something special. First of all it is humble and unpretentious, with a genuine welcoming Japanese atmosphere. Secondly, the chefs are very talented and the fish is fresh and of very high quality. Thirdly, the service staff are polite and helpful, but they also take... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
