Making healthy food is something dear to my heart. In fact, there is that small sushi place in Phoenix AZ that makes the most amazing nigiri with brown rice. Shine Ya tried the same, but I feel misses the spot. It starts with the fact that the selection of seafood is very limited. Not only that, but a place that... More

The place is very cozy and pretty. We loved every dish and every drink we had. My little one couldn't stop eating sashimis! It had a lot of vegan options and even a vegan dessert, pumpkin pudim. I recommend this place, no doubt.

This little place offers rolls made of organic brown rice, organic greens and is vegetarian friendly. A healthy place for a bite ! The place is usually packed during lunch and dinner times. They do take-out too.

Since my husband loves sushi, we eat it almost weekly. Since we've been visiting Vancouver for a week now, we've been trying different sushi restaurants. In my books, Shizen Ya is the best that I have ever had!!! We'll eat there again before we leave Vancouver for sure!!!

This is not suited for parties of more than four. they only have a couple of tables that have four seats so mostly two person tables. I'm sure this is a great restaurant but we planned on eating here and could not get in to eat. so thing to know for families not familiar with its size.

I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have my favourite roll, mango cucumber, but they completely made up for it! The sushi is great, all organic and made with brown rice plus they have many veggie options.

The sushi rolls are perfect. All of them. Several vegetarian options. Try the Yam one. All the rice is brown. At first I thought it would not be good, but ended up being excellent. It is so good that is difficult to find a table. Perhaps if they could have a bigger place... By the way, all the waiters are... More

No wonder this little restaurant is on the list of the best places to eat sushi in Vancouver. Beside sushi they have good variety of other Japanese dishes. We had lunch there today and everything was so good that I want to write this review because they deserve it. Servers were so polite but not intrusive. Our green tea was... More

We were looking for a vegan option downtown and found this gem kind of hidden on Hornby Street. Fortunately Trip Advisor's map helped a lot. When we arrived it was packed but we actually did not wait more than 5 minutes. We immediately liked the Japanese sized and simple design of the place. I prefer good food over good design... More

Was in Vancouver visiting my health conscious niece, trying to impress her with quality/organic sushi found on advisor ... but she's been there many times. Food/Service are awesome, their menu has just enough yummy items to please the customer(quality not quantity)👍👍

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
