We stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner after a lengthy walk around the Seawall. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and modern looking. We were seated quickly and my only gripe was that every time the door opened we were blasted with cold air. We kept our coats on the whole meal. We started with a... More

We loved this restaurant. It was clean and modern -- which was a lovely contrast to the traditional open brick oven parlour. The staff were very sweet and friendly. Our pizza was brought to us quickly and it was fun to watch it being cooked. The food was delicious. We arrived during happy hour. An 8" pizza with a drink... More

This restaurant is still a fun place to enjoy a pizza fresh from a wood fired oven. Parking on the East fringe of Gas Town is always a challenge. Be careful also because Nicli Antica's is also within the Vancouver East Side (having the reputation of being a very dangerous district). Ignore the panhandlers as most are harmless, however some... The reason we went here last night was because this place is a "VPN CERTIFIED NEAPOLITAN PIZZERIA", it may be but the pizza was average. Been in two other VPN's, one in St. Johns Nfld. and the other in Charlottetown PEI. Both were stellar, best pizza we've ever had. So thinking the VPN equated to quality, not so. We had... More

This restaurant serves typical napolitain pizza. You can have a look at the firewood oven either by seating at the bar or a table nearby. They have a selection of Italian wines. Service is very good.

This is an excellent pizza restaurant in the Gas Town area of Vancouver. It is close to the stadiums and a good place to eat before the hockey game. The pizzas are thin style crusts similar to European pizzas. The menu includes a reasonable wine list. I recommend this place. One negative is the Gas Town area of Vancouver is... More

Recommended by staff at the Fairmont which was a short walk away. Great pizza, although a little short on cheese. Would recommend a visit. The only downside is navigating through the junkies etc lining the road outside, which Gas Town sadly seems to be notorious for.

We had a great evening at Nicli. The food was very good, the service was very friendly, and the happy hour prices were really reasonable. We ended up spending a long evening eating and hanging out. We kept ordering more food because it was all so good. I'm a fan of the classics, and the margherita pizza was great.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, but most importantly, the gluten free pizza was delicious. Thin and normal bread tasting, as opposed to a lot of gluten free crusts that taste like some form of cornbread. It comes with fun scissors too that you cut the pizza up with! It's a little pricey, but totally worth it.

-Service was a lacking -The pizza was 'kind-of' tasty -Portions were very small -Prices were expensive Their staff acted as if accommodating our group of 8 people was the most daunting task in the world. Very important to know: 1). They give you a silly dull butter knife to cut the pizzas.. if you ask for a sharp knife, they... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
