We had lunch at this amazing sandwich shop in Vancouver and judging from the lines that's what many people do! The Porchetta is just simply the best sandwich I've ever eaten, served with the crispy cracklings and salsa verde on a lovely ciabatta bread. There's a reason this place gets all its notoriety, amazing simple food and great service!

Food like this should not be legal. My friend and I are visiting from Toronto and came here after a run through Stanley Park. We were incredibly overwhelmed by how ridiculously good the food was. We both had the meatball sandwich and shared an insanely delicious soup and mushroom quinoa salad. These people know how to make food. IT WAS... More

This was one of the best sandwiches I can recall eating. Pretty speedy service, not busy at all when we went there (Sunday lunchtime), and delicious deliciousness. Obviously if you're not a meat eater, don't go here, but if you are - run, don't walk.

This place takes sandwiches to another level. We tried the pork and beef and both were absolutely fantastic. A simple concept, executed well. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. Would definitely go back there.

I'm not a big sandwich eater, I'd rather just eat the meat inside, but this was good. The bread is soft, the meat is tender and tasty and their establishment is very clean.

Casual atmosphere, nice staff, flavorful sandwich. Unfortunately there was no place to sit (it's very small), so we left with the sandwiches to-go.

turning meat and bread to gourmet level. when i was there they had porchetta and meatballs. Hey it was after lunchtime at some items were sold out. Meatball deserved a medal and coming from a butchers family i know what i am talking about. The porchetta looked and smelled to die for, however i did not taste it. So need... More

They've got it down to a science. Nothing fancy - just simple delicious ingredients in a sandwich! The sauces and flavors are incredible. Line ups out the door at lunch - get here early

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries.
