Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Took my daughter here for American Thanksgiving. Great food and decent prices! Maybe because American T-giving fell on a weekday and we also came around 2pm but we were accommodated with a table super quick! Had the 3 meat special over rice, the gai lan...with oyster sauce and, pork fried rice! It was all delicious and came out super quick. The waiter (also seemed like a manager) was very friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms were also clean hahaha. They also took credit cards which was great because we hadn't changed money yet. Chinatown BBQ was really the only place in Chinatown that we wanted to try and since it was American T-giving we wanted to have a fun, nice place to eat at. Also had a bunch of leftovers that we ended up taking and giving to the homeless. Overall a super nice meal and experienceMore

Was recommended by the ferry boat pilot when we mentioned we were walking through Chinatown. From the outside looked a bit unappetising, but we walked in and were treat magnificently. The really friendly guy recommended a couple of dishes, gave us lashings of free tea...and when the bill came only $35 for the two us. Service was fast and the food good, a great experience all roundMore

On a Vancouver walk-about with friends we came upon this little eatery in the heart of Chinatown. So glad we did… Ordered the 3 meat platter, ½ a BBQ duck, a couple of fried rice dishes & a garlic/chili inspired veggie dish. Added a few...Chinese beers & green tea and we all had a feast!!! Needless to say it was all delicious. The service was excellent, great advice on what to order made for a perfect meal. Thanks!!!More

Honey Glazed Pork and BBQ Duck were delicious! The duck skin was crispy and not oily at all! The pork fried rice was also yummy. Definitely recommend!

We decided to walk from the port which was a bad choice as the neighbourhood did not feel that safe on the way to the restaurant. However when we arrived there was a queue outside as they had not yet opened - we took this...as a very good sign. The rest of the experience was excellent- super friendly and professional waiter, who gave us great menu recommendations. Food was fantastic- authentic chinese cooking at its best and very reasonably priced! We would not have found this unless we had used trip advisor beforehand- definitely worth a visit.More

I would give them 3E ratting. That is, excellent service, excellent taste, excellent quality. While waiting for food, you will notice the people who work there move around very fast to bring out food, cleaning tables for the next customers. The taste was excellent, just...like what it should be. I had the BBQ goose noodles. Wow the skin of the BBQ goose was so crispy!! We also bought roasted pork, BBQ pork, and roasted duck to take home.More

It is very difficult to eat alone in a Chinese restaurant - the meals are meant for sharing, but I was walking past a few weeks ago and the decor was so appealing that I could not resist. At the suggestion of the waitress, I...chose a mixed plate of roast pork, roast duck and roast chicken. All were beautifully cooked and very tasty. The service was good and the price reasonable.More

Visit here based on review. Foods are delicious. Staff is super friendly. Ordered Roast Pork (great), Bbq pork (too sweet), Bbqduck (great), Jellyfish (good), curry beef brisket (great). Hard to find parking spot. We got parking a few blocks from this place. Took us 12...minutes walking and I don't feel safe at all. Good thing there were 6 of us and we walked super fast to avoid unwanted circumstances.More

I surprised my mum and my aunt for a lovely lunch at the China Town BBQ restaurant after their TCM consolation , Because I know mum love her fatty roast pork and Soy Chicken , sadly to say the area is very scruffy and no...tourists around , lot of shops closing down for good , I still remember the good old 60's and 70's , 80's , mountain of people , restaurants like Hon's , Ming's , Ho Ho and B.C Royal , Bamboo , and many many more , the Chinatown BBQ not a big place but clean , homey friendly atmosphere , their signature dish is BBQ meat , very mordant dextrous style , price very affordable lot to choose from , happy to say our 3 meat Combo you can choose your meat fat or lean , all the meat so tender and the roast pork lovely crunchies skin , WOW ! the Curry Brisket so flavourful worth die for also the oyster Gai Lan , I requested extra mushy for mum and aunt , nicely done and surprised the staff come back to make sure we happy with the mushy Gai Lan excellent P.R , oh , the ginger scallion taste 100% H. K style , over all , good top quality in every dishes , the Manager ( Owner ? ) very friendly and professional he did not miss a beat on all tablets , Well Done , I also order two Soy Chicken for Mum and aunt to take home , I have no problem come back if I am in the area for more Curry brisket ! ** my tip is if you want fresh delicious meat from the oven , the best time is come early in the morning and after 5.30pm at the evening ** this BBQ shop is stand above all the BBQ shops in Vancouver ! it is real hidden gen in midland .More
