I ate at the bar one night while attending a conference and was blown away by the quality of the food, the excellent recommendations and the variety of options. The Saki choices were superb. Special thanks to the young man from Nelson BC who served...More

good service, decent prices, a litle smelly, but great sushi. those pressed rolls are fantastic; regular sushi super fresh. Wish I could bring this place back to my hometown. i wanted to keep ordering more, but my better half cut me off.

We celebrated my wife's birthday last night at Miku and had one of the finest meals we have ever eaten in Vancouver. Unbelievably fresh sushi means no need for soya sauce..and every single dish was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Typically I wouldn't order...More

Just ludicrously good. I don't think I have ever had sushi like that in my life. You'd be hard pressed to find a less than stellar option on the menu.

I had dinner at Miku at the bar. The Coal Harbor platter (shrimp, mussels, oysters, scallops) was good but overpriced for the amount served. The calamari in tempura batter however was excellent. High noise levels though.

Great position just opposite Canada Place. Friendly knowledgeable staff, super fresh fish. We had Miku roll, superb shiitake NIgiri, prawn, yellowfish, salmon. All very flavoursome. I'm not a huge fan of wasabe, and many were made without so others could add as much as they...More

I dropped in here, mainly because it is a short walk fro the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver. They have an excellent selection of Japanese scotches, and a Saki bath! The house speciality "Seared Sushi " was fine but not earth shattering. Great location and...More

Description
We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly to sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the fish, creating a new and exciting culinary experience. Miku owner Seigo Nakamura innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish. The light sear from the binchotan (Japanese bamboo charcoal) caramelizes the sauce, releasing a smoky aroma and bringing out the finest flavours in each piece of Aburi sushi.

Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Fly Over Canada, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus.
