Wonderful experience with clients from Toronto on a Thursday evening. Amazing presentation, massive sake menu and super friendly wait staff.

The staff were really helpful and happy to offer advice if asked. The selection we were recommended for 2 adults and 2 children was perfect. We had a mix of different sushi along with Gyoza's and beef. Really enjoyed it and would thoroughly recommend.

This place is a bit more low key than many other sushi spots in the city. The quality is amazing and the service is good, with some slow exceptions from time to time. Prices are not the lowest and I find that it lacks in variety but definitely worth a stop at some point.

This restaurant is well known in Vancouver for the owner's efforts to be trained as a female sushi chef -- something resisted by traditionalists. Regardless of the higher debates the food is excellent. They have regular lunch specials which are worth it for a quick meal. But if you have more time the sushi is always excellent and almost every... More

We were suppose to head to Minami across the road but decided to go for a walk and wonder around to check out the other restaurants and found this across the road! It was a great find, not only were the prices better but the option was better and it wasn't so fine dining, it was quite casual and friendly... More

Great place for fine dining with tasty dishes. Their lunch menu is quite different from their dinner. Try all of their chef signature dishes. Yam tempura fries hot tapas, Sockey Jalepeno Aburi, Malibu roll and black sesame tuna tataki were our favorites.

They offer a very unique variety on their menu. We ordered an ahi tuna and avocado crepe, pork dumplings, a beef hot pot with noodles and vegetables and green tea brulee. They also have wonderful cocktails. The wait staff was very helpful and sweet and the restaurant was in a great location in Yaletown. We had a great dining experience!

We arrived and were seated quickly, we ordered a couple of drinks and waited. The restaurant was 3/4 full and we waited 15 min for our drinks. The food however took 45 min and then was not ours, 10 more min and our prosciutto rolls came, this was only one dish, out of three. Our second dish took an additional... More

This sushi restaurant suffers from its location. It is in the heart of Yaletown and from the sheer volume of people coming down to this location it can, but for a major problem, succeed. The service was indifferent. I seriously think that in order to be sushi restaurant you must go to some type of school and learn the expected... More

The service was very slow. the portions of food were incredibly small. They food was OK, but nothing exceptional. I had to ask for more soy sauce three times. It's not that they forgot to bring it, they bought so little each time I had to keep asking for more. I've never had to do that before. How expensive can... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
