It's difficult to find sugar free chocolate here in Vancouver, and was so very happy to find my Mom's favorite - sugar free chocolate covered ginger on Salt Spring Island. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Great gelato and super knowledgeable and friendly staff both times we visited. We had gelatos and the chocolate truffles, plus free candies our server had made that afternoon. Highly recommend this spot.

Great little chocolate shop located in downtown Ganges. Nice selection of milk or dark choclates or if like gelato, go for it! Staff were friendly & efficient, you have a choice of eating in or taking you chocolate home.

When I entered the place smelled like heaven - of chocolate :-). I tried several truffles and they were all good. The girl at the counter was super sweet and friendly. If you are there on warmer days, they have ice cream too, but it was too cold for me to try that.

Get a gelato to go and explore the Saturday Market or just wander around the quaint village. Take home some of their yummy chocolates., great souvenirs or an indulgence for yourself.

Imagine a place with every kind of made-on-the-island, artisanal chocolates plus selected flavors of gelato so rich and creamy you thought it only existed in your dreams. That is Harlans Chocolates and Gelato. I have been going to Harlans for years when I visit Salt Spring Island and always buy chocolates to take to my friends back in the states.... More

We had some chocolate, but not the gelato. Next time ! Love the variety of choices including some fun chocolate forms which make great gifts. Salted Caramel in dark chocolate satisfied my cravings for the time being. Nice relaxed staff as well.

I don't think I've ever had their chocolate but I go every time I'm on Salt Spring Island for a pint and a bit of gelato. So good and a great price. Great variety of flavors plus a take home container your get a discount for if you cover back for more - which of course I always do. Friendly... More
