My friends and I went to the boathouse for dine out vancouver. We had a reservation which we ended up having to wait a long time for. I understand it was busy but we felt like they had forgot about us, I think we waited 30 mins or so. The food was good but our service was horrible. My friend... More

The New Westminister BC Boat House Restaurant was close (attached) to our hotel. Our food was fresh and properly prepared...cooked to perfection as ordered. We were sat at a table twice our needs and so loved that extra elbow room. Our table was facing the water and so the view was extraordinary pleasant. The staff was experienced and well uniformly... Not too impressed with a tiny bowl of soup for $9, but the coconut shrimp was pretty good and somewhat fair price. No one in the restaurant at 2 o'clock pm so service wasn't great. Waited a long time to see anyone to be seated and also for the bill.

Service and dinner were both excellent. We were seated at a table by the windows and it was a beautiful night to be able to see the river and lights. There was not one food item that we did not enjoy and the service was very attentive but not annoying. A great dinner and evening.

When first opened, this was a high end restaurant to rival those in downtown Vancouver. Last week's visit confirms they continue to rely on their reputation from days gone by. Portions get smaller and smaller. Might work for a first date, but after that..............

I'VE BEEN HERE MANY TIMES IN RECENT YEARS. . . It is really going downhill.... Maybe the construction in the area has taken a toll . . . BUT, THAT means the restaurant needs to try harder . . . . I'll go back after the construction is done. . . BUT, I'll be looking for an improved Effort. .... More

The four of us had a wonderful dinner with a table down by the window. Food presentation and flavour was good. Obviously large groups for birthdays enjoy this place as special, as the upper area had a group reservation for 24 which the staff handled routinely with organized efficiency. It is a bit pricey, but the restaurant was busy, so... More

I was staying next door at the Inn at the Quay and wanted a light dinner. The happy hour menu offered a nice selection of small portions items. I had Mahi tacos, coconut shrimp and a winter greens salad. Each item was nicely flavored and just the right portion, sort of like a tapas menu item. I enjoyed the river... More

Four of us ate at the Boathouse for a impromptu dinner. I was a little worried as it was a Friday night before Christmas and we arrived about 7:30. The restaurant was full but they found us a spot in the lounge with the same menu. Two of us had the crusted halibut and it was in the top five... More

This is the first time we have been disappointed with theThe Boathouse. We went here for my wife's birthday and the portions and food was less then average for three of five of us. Don't mind paying for lobster, but the lobster tail was more like a crayfish tail and only one!?. The Blackened Tilapia with Key Lime Shrimp was... More
