Fantastic food - whether you are looking for fresh and bright, or warm and hearty, bar snacks to a full feast, there is something for every mood. Lots of options for vegetarians/vegans and other dietary preferences, that taste great and don't seem like an afterthought. Happy hour is a steal, and the room is stylish and comfortable. Lovely views out... More

I don't know if "average" is the right rating. The food is very good, particularly the duck platter I had. It is, however, terribly expensive for the area, with $13 salads and $25+ dollar entrees, which feels weird given the fact it feels more like a lunch cafe than a dinner spot. Still, the duck alone was worth the price,... More

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at Wild Rice last week and were not disappointed! We had eaten at the restaurant's former Vancouver location years ago, and really enjoyed the variety of the vegan selections. Since we had vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters and celiacs in our dinner party, we felt this would be a good option, especially after reassurance from... More

The food here is very good, especially the Braised Beef Shanghai and the Spicy Chicken Kung Po. Nice atmosphere and views of the Fraser River.

Family dinner for 9. The appys were fair, but the squid was good.. But the main entrées were poor. The fried rice, the Kung pao and penne were burnt and overcooked. How do you burn penne? The Kung Pao noodles were overcooked and even the peanuts and broccoli were burnt (worst pao ever). The rice chicken wraps had far too... More

I treated the dinner for a friend and her two kids. When we ordered the food, we told the waitress to take out the nuts for one kid who had allergy. But she forgot and the poor kid got quite bad reaction. The waitress apologized and brought up an ice cream as the compliment. When I was paying the bill,... More

My friend and I were in the area and decided to check it out. We ordered the veggie dumplings, veggie spring rolls, and Curry steamed buns. The veggies dumplings were quite good, tofu was the main thing you tasted. The veggie spring rolls had a great plum sauce and were perfectly crisped. The steamed buns had some pretty good curry... We were happy to find the Wild Rice Bistro at New Westminster Quay as we have always enjoyed the Vancouver location over the years. I thought the quality was close to but not quite the same compared to the original location for the Kung Pao Chicken which had always been my favorite Wild Rice meal. My husbands beef special main... A visit to New westminster would not be complete without a visit to Wild Rice. This is Chinese food with a twist Everything is prepared fresh, no warming tables, no MSG. The wait staff are extremely friendly, especially Brian, who recognised us from our last visit some months ago.

Fresh, local ingredients help make up the dishes on this menu. Many vegetarian and vegan options all with amazing flavour . The location is right on the river with a great patio to observe the tug boats busy at work.
