The starting salads were pretty good and fresh. The waitresses served green tea at the moment we were sitting down. The start was good. Then we realised it was definitely a place to avoid if you like some quality sushi or other flavours. We ordered toro sashimi, several nigiri and a maki roll. The geoduck was out of stock (waitress... More

Definitely a must-visit restaurant everytime we go to Nanaimo. The only worry is it's always packed with people so there might be a little wait if you go there without prior reservation. But the food is worth the wait! The staff are friendly too.

In my business I know the difference between 'good' food and EXCEPTIONAL food. Nori has EXCEPTIONAL food and the best atmosphere. An experience not to be missed.

We have been to Nori Sushi for many years now and the quality, freshness, taste and presentation of the food has remained steadily outstanding. The service is very friendly and although there is always a lineup and the restaurant is extremely busy, there is no long wait and staff is comforting and well trained. Definitely the best Sushi on the... More

The gyoza was a definite miss. I'm sure there was no crab in the crab croquettes. The Japanese curry was just ok. But the yakitori was good. Service was pretty good. Most of the food was alright, but overall just ok.

Very good sushis. Their wild salmon is amazing. Sea urchin as well. Always a pleasure to go there. And prices are very reasonable

This is my second time visiting Nori and I am not disappointed. When we entered the restaurant one of the sushi chefs yelled a loud greeting and seemed genuinely happy working and serving customers. The restaurant was fairly busy but we were served in a timely manner. The yam rolls are very good along with the Alaska rolls. The sashimi is... More

Bento is reasonably cheap for the amount of food you get. Busy at lunch but being local and retired we go at 11:30 am with no problem. Staff are friendly

The food was average plus, but it is so crowded, that unless you have a reservation, be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes! This was a Monday, early evening. Since it is rated #1 here in Trip advisor, it's popularity overwhelms the small facility, the servers and cooks work as fast as humanly possible, but the over crowding takes away from... More
