Had their stuffed chicken and it was disappointing. Very little flavour and visually unappealing. Service was very good so the cooks get the blame.

Whenever in Red Deer I eat at the Rusty Pelican for the variety and quality of their food and the good service. However, this time I was disappointed. I ordered the lunchtime $10 Fajita. It was mostly mushrooms with a few very thin slice pepper...More
Amazing food, staff and menu! This is a Red Deer gem. If you are visiting, this is a must visit. Home cooked, at an amazing price with a local feel. This restaurant is anything but Rusty. You won't be disappointed.

Over priced wine and seafood platter. Over cooked scallops, tiny lobster tail, bottle of wine $52 ($13 at Superstore). Small meal for $45. We used to enjoy this restaurant but will never return again. Felt very ripped off.
We were pleasantly surprised by our recent visit; ambience, excellent service, yummy dinner. Reasonably priced and generous portions! The stuffed chicken is delish. I want to return for the 10 items for $10 lunch menu! Bravo.

This is a quiet restaurant that is tastefully decorated. The service was average. The cajun snapper was very spicy. The presentation of the ravioli was pleasant.
