After reading very favourable reviews, we decided to give this Japanese restaurant a try. We had a delightful evening in a private booth, just the two of us. To accommodate Western hips and knees, you're able to sit in the booths on a bench with your (sock) feet on the ground. (shoes are left on the step leading into the... More

Stopped for lunch and was totally satisfied with the menu, food and service -- wanted to try something different but stick with favorites -- had Bento Box with Gyoza and shrimp with scallop -- perfect ;-)

Bill at Shiso 150.00, king Crab Maki chipped my tooth with a big piece of the shell, worst service ever and they did nothing about the chipped tooth.....could have cared less and said no didn't happen and it's not proof it happened here! Showed our waitress the napkin with the chuck of shell in it along with the rest of... More

The food tasted excellent and the people serving us were very nice. However, the service was slightly slow, especially since there weren't very many people in the restaurant at the time of our visit. My friend who was paying for us all had brought $160 but we ended up going 9 dollars over. She calculated the cost of all our... More

The food there is always good, but asked for some hot sauce and they charged a buck for it, was not impressed with that at all, because of that will try a different place in town next time.

The food is very delicious, a great combination of sauce to actual sushi. I do wish they had more raw sashimi options, although I understand many people may not be a fan of this. The cost isn't too bad for the quality of food, you don't feel robbed! I wasn't a big found of the ambience there, I understand the... More

I have been going to Shiso's religiously for 10 years. Anything & everything you eat here tastes great to awesome! On Saturday & Sunday there is a lineup and sometimes I have waited 2 hours to get inside. Worth the wait!! This is by far the best restaurant in Red Deer, in Alberta, in Canada, and comparable to international Asian... More

Excellent ambience and service, the bento box offers a variety of options. I would recommend that baby calamari as appetizer, as as main tempura, salmon and the 4oz stake. All of this plus miso soup, rice and fruits for an excellent price. Not mentioning a pretty nice view of Northern Red Deer.
