My husband and I went for drinks/supper at downstream! Our server was absolutely amazing! Our bill was $196.00 by the time we left, because we stayed so long we had a great time!!! Not one complaint! Food was amazing, tried many delicious drinks, and had a lot of laughs!!! Great memories from here!!!

Went there for a birthday celebration. Smoked duck breast and braised bison short ribs were our choices. Crafts beers available. Great service. They gave us a free dessert and wrote 'Happy b-day" on the plate. Highly recommend.

We had reservations but were seated at high tables not far from the bar in this sports bar type restaurant. Several TVs showed film clips of various Canadian water sports. We shared the Miso steak bite appetizer, small bite sized pieces of steak, presented in a large martini style server, however, some were a bit grizzly. We had the Salmon... More

We had a fantastic meal at Downstream restaurant. It wasn't a busy night so we were able to take our choice of tables so we opted for the booth. My husband was excited to see a whole page of gluten free and Fructose friendly options and selected the Lasagne made with sweet potato for the layers - he was very... More

Nice little restaurant with skate/snowboarder decor. Seating is on high stools, which is not so comfortable for short folks. Elk steak was perfect and bison short ribs were very tender but a bit acid for my tastes. Seasonal side dishes were wonderful. Service was very friendly and attentive.

We ordered burgers, mine was fine and my wife's burger was burnt. She told the server and he said sorry, will do another. Then returned and told us the burger was fine, it was normal charring. It clearly was not. Had they not said this we could have overlooked that the burger was burnt but was being replaced. They should... More

This was our second attempt to eat at Downstream, but we were foiled at the 1st attempt due to a large group booking. We returned tonight and so pleased that we did. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. A couple of Honey ales, washed down a very tasty and tender Elk sirloin. My wife had the wild salmon, which... More

The food was awesome, had the salmon w/ sesame and wasabi and hubby had the steak bites and edamame. Took the recommendation from the front desk staff at our hotel after we found out the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. Glad we took it. Server was as quick...as he could be, it was packed when we got... More

Description
The Downstream was recreated in 2008 by local owner Sotirios Korogonas as a concept for a modern restaurant & lounge that retains Jasper's mountain town spirit and casual feel. Chef David Gomez masterfully delivers Jasper's best homemade meals using only the freshest ingredients. His attention to detail and passion for excellence is defined by the superior reputation his menu and our staff have earned amongst our loyal customers. Shawn Routledge and our service team ARE dedicated to ensuring a superior experience by providing our customers with a truly comfortable atmosphere in the most personal public room in Jasper. Together we have created a menu that is the best dollar for dollar value in the park.
